1. Name: Emily
2. Age: 26
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
I would live in a town called Cody, Wyoming. It's in the far northwest corner, so it's in the Rocky Mountains, about thirty miles from Yellowstone National Park. It's a fairly large town, but it's one of those places you just feel comfortable. It's odd that a place that seems perfect for someone who loves the outdoors is a place I want to be, because I'm not a big nature girl.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
It would be a comfortable room with comfortable chairs, a writing desk, (with a computer that never gets infected by any viriuses/worms/ect) bookshelves, and a nice assortment of baskets of yarn for my knitting.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?
It's a tie between Moaning Myrtle and Winky. Both of them just irritate me for some reason. I think it's because both of them really refuse to accept what has happened to them in a way.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full?
Depends on what's in the glass. If it's something good, it's half full, if it's something I don't care for, it's half empty.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
"This is a revolution damnit! We're going to have to offend somebody!" - Said by John Adams in the musical 1776.
You can't get through life without seriously annoying someone. Or without somone seriously annoying you. It's one of those facts of life. Not to mention the fact that I personally think John Adams was a brilliant man.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?
My friends are like part of my family, so this really can't be answered in my case. But if I absolutely had to choose, I would say my family.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory?
There are several, but only one comes to mind. When I was in sixth grade, I was in a group session with some other kids who had ADD and one of the boys, whose name was Kyle, told me that I was pretty. I went red and hid my face. I had NEVER had anyone outside of my family tell me something like that. It was probably one of the nicest things anyone in my age group had ever said to me, since the majority of the people at my school treated the mud on their shoes better than they did me.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?
I take things way to personally. All it can take is a person's tone of voice, and I'm convinced that I have totally screwed something up. Such as I'm terrifed that I'm going to get it for accidently leaving a computer on when I left on Saturday and that my key pass was left on the counter under the alarm. I know I'm probably not in any sort of major trouble, but I'm paranoid that it's going to be bad.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?
Yes, I would. I would have probably have been the worrier in the group though, completely freaked out that we were all going to be caught.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.
I need to stop, calm down a bit, and then think things through - I can completly over-react at times.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?
Justice. I know it sounds when you see the two things compared that justice could seem cruel. But life has the tendancy to be cruel. Justice is one of the few things can level the playing field in what is right and what is wrong.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?
I would say that I probably am the old soul of a child. I can be serious at times and completely silly at others.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in?
Hufflepuff more than likely, because much as I may gripe about my job and the people I work with, I don't mind working hard. I also hate it when people are left out of things, since I tend to be left out of things most of the time. That's a really terrible feeling - knowing you're being left out.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
You can't really see me, I'm hidden behind that copy of HBP that was taken for "What's a Good Book?" at work.
