1. Name: Sara
2. Age: 21
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
Wouldn’t we all love to live in and old, draughty castle near a forest...and a lake. ;) But seriously, if I had a choice.. I’d so go for a castle. XD With some creature comforts of course! Running water, flushing toilets...all of that. I could live with candlelight and fireplaces and things. I’d love one in Scotland because I’d die every time someone talked. XD But other places in Europe would do too - I’m not /that/ picky. ;) Otherwise, I rather like Melbourne...with its fantastic music scene and comedy festival and lovely things like that. Plus it’s home. <3<3
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
I haven’t got a clue! It would have the internets, of course...because I’d have a lot of trouble giving that up at Hogwarts! XD Umm…it’d probably have a whole zoo of animals or, failing that, a whole lot of books on animals. And biology related things, because I’m a biology nerd. What else? Maybe some pencils and paper so I can scribble and fail at arts. (Nothing goes how I want it to, so I give up. XD) It would also have Hugh Laurie. =D
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?
Umbridge, without a doubt. I can fathom even the smallest bit of respect for every other character but hers. She proved a point a little /too/ much, I think!
6. Is the glass half empty or half full?
Ah, the age-old question. (/Not/ ‘Is our children learning’ though. =[[) The glass is half empty. It can’t be half full unless a stream of water is about to hit it to fill it…or a small storm is brewing at the top of the cup. It’s much more likely to evaporate, and thus lead to the glass being empty. (Yay for getting scientific over such questions! ;)
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
Umm.. *shuffles through playlist* Where is my mind? XDD Goodness, why are there no lyrics about short, crazy people? "But you can't look at both sides of the coin at the same time, and you can't make up your mind."
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?
Arg…this is such a difficult question! I love my family - I’m still living at home, and they’ve supported me through uni and things over the years…and they’re lovely. <3 But many of my friends are like family! I’m much better at communicating with my friends and even at helping my friends out. I guess you could say we’re /not/ the closest of families because we can’t seem to talk to each other about the important things, but when push comes to shove, they come out. I’m getting nowhere with resolving this. XD Gosh, I don’t know. I feel as if I owe it to my family to say them, because they’ve been so awesome. So supportive and fun and lovely! I really respect what they’ve given me, because I know my mum never had any of it. But my friends are always there, and I’d like to think that I’m always there for them as well…even if I seem a little closed at times. I just want to say both. ;_; XD
9. What is your favorite childhood memory?
Oh gosh...I’m going to say that it probably involved animals and leave it at that. XD I don’t know, but it probably did - something nature related, anyway.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?
I’m a perfectionist. =O It’s not always a flaw - it forces you to do things, and do them well. But it also comes that nothing is ever good enough. I’ve done well academically over the years, but even then it’s sometimes not good enough and I get upset over it. XD It also has me using rulers in the past to make sure the posters on my wall are straight. ;) I have a bit of a symmetry and placement issue. You wouldn’t know it looking at the /floor/ of my room though. XD But on the perfectionist thing...I end up rewriting whole introductions and things on reports to make sure they’re right - so I spend a million years longer than I should and rush other parts as a consequence, which probably means I’m harder on myself when it comes back marked. XD Ah well. It has its good and points. I guess my other flaw is my communication skills, or lack thereof. I’m not a good talker. If I know you, I’ll babble your ear off about something irrelevant and probably not make much sense. If I don’t, don’t expect me to talk to you at all. XD And by no means should you ask me to /explain/ something to you. I understand what I’m saying, but buggered if you will. XD I don’t know why, but I don’t seem to make a lot of sense. I’m also really bad at the whole public speaking thing, unless it’s something silly. XD
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?
Probably, with such incompetent teaching about. >:O Or else I would probably have tried to teach myself. XD
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.
Not too well. ;) I’m a bit of a stress head when it comes to exams and other stressful things. I normally pull through them well enough, but the lead up isn’t so good. XD So while I’m actually in there and doing it, I usually manage to produce the goods, but beforehand I worry far too much. It depends on the situation, really. Earlier this year I failed to cope completely and fell apart a bit. XD
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?
I hate this question. XD I don’t know…I’m often one to say that laws or whatnot are there for a reason and there should be no exceptions, but then when it comes down to it I sometimes feel otherwise. I suppose, again, it depends on the situation. For example, there’s an Australian citizen about to be executed in Indonesia because he was found to be a convicted drug dealer. While part of me thinks that he should have been aware of the laws, and aware of the consequences of his actions…another part of me doesn’t think he deserves to have his life taken for such a thing. (In fact, I’m against it for everyone, but that’s a whole other debate!) I don’t know. I’ll say justice…but tentatively.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?
A bit of both? I’m probably more of a child at heart though - I still love kiddy things and like to be silly and have fun. I went to a pillow fight in the city the other day! XD
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in?
Apparently it’s Ravenclaw for me.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
The main reason this picture exists is because I was excited that I could fit my hair into a pony tail, after having it really short for years. XD Otherwise, there'd be no photo. =O
