1. Name: Ariel online. I'm actually pretty open about my real name these days, but I've been Ariel since the first time I joined anything on the internet, at the age of thirteen, and I think it fits. It means "Lioness of God". My real name means "Famous Warrior of Purity".

2. Age: Nineteen

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

Everywhere. If I could live anywhere, I wouldn't choose. I would likely keep a house somewhere with a warm climate, but I'd hardly ever be there. I'd spend a week in London, one in Tokyo, the next in Venice, then Paris, then Sydney, then New York. I would wander when and how I pleased.

4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?

It would be huge, because there's a lot I need. First, there would be a king sized four-poster bed with black silk sheets and my boyfriend draped across them, possibly tied to the headboard. Near the bed, there would be a very well stocked liquor cabinet with a coffe maker on top of it. It would have most rum, jack, and vodka, with a few other treats thrown in.

On the other side of the room would be a very nice stereo with a considerable CD collection, several bookcases with all my favorite books from childhoof to now, a huge comfy chair for reading, and a desk with a fast gaming computer.

5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?

My least favorite character is Ginny Weasley without a doubt. Unfortunately, it's not really the character's fault so much as it is Rowling's. In the early books, I liked Ginny. I had plenty of empathy for a shy, quiet girl with a crush, not because I was like her, but because one of my best friends was. Then book five hit and BAM! suddenly Ginny is secretly this totally different person. If my best friend had had a turn around like she had, she'd probably stop being my best friend, because if a person can hide something like that, obviously I can't trust them. So, just like that, I found myself unable to trust the character. At times, I've wanted to like her, but I just can't, because I never know if she might make another sudden turn.

6. Is the glass half empty or half full?

Half empty because, well, I've emptied it halfway, haven't I?

7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.

After much thought, because there's a lot I could quote, I decided to go with something simple, but profound- the chorus to "Dark Time" by October Project.

"Come take my body
Come take my soul
Come take me over
I want to be whole"

8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?

Friends, without question. I'm not very close to my family at all. I'm vastly different from my conservative, racist, homophibic relatives, and I hardly even see them. I like it that way. On the other hand, I have a whole network of very close friends, who in many cases are almost like family to me. Some I even refer to as "mom" or "brother".

9. What is your favorite childhood memory?

Something I actually remember and didn't just see on home video... Something I liked. Well, I remember when I was eight or so, Beauty and the Beast came out. One of my friends from school was from a family that owned most of the theatres in Texas, so for her birthday party, we went to the local movie theatre and had a private showing of Beauty and the Beast, and my friend dressed as Alice in Wonderland, and we all got free drink and popcorn and sat in the very first row and talked through the film for the first and only time ever.

10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?

I'm probably too elitist. Damn, I can't stand stupidity. Some of my views on stupid people get downright militant, to the point that I've been compared to Hitler, and told not to repeat my opinions outside of certain crowds. So I won't repeat them. You can take my word for it.

11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?

Honestly, I probably wouldn't have even heard about it. I would have joined in a second if I had, but when things like that happened at my school, I was always the one that no one told, often the only one who didn't know. I never did figure out how to change that, so I'd probably be in the same position at Hogwarts.

12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.

If I can get out of said situation with a minimum of fuss, I do that. If I really must confront the situation, I try to clear my mind and clearly process out what I must do and in what order I will do it.

13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?

Justice. I've always been that way, since I was a child. I would rather everyone have it tough and everything be fair and equal than have certain people get off on the basis of circumstances, especially since people can lie about the circumstances.

14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?

Both, really. I am not only an only child, but I also grew up in a rural sort of area with few neighbors, much less children. As a result, I spent most of my childhood with adults and really had no clue how to deal with outher children when we occasionally made contact, and later when I'd started school.

So on one hand I have always been mature and "old" for my age, but on the other, I didn't have much childhood to speak of, so I odd moments I will just totally revert and act like an immature child, just for fun.

15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in?

Well, hogwarts_elite put me in Gryffindor, and I tend to think I belong there rather well. I've been sorted into Slytherin and Ravenclaw elsewhere as well. Just never Hufflepuff.

16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!

These are both special occasions, certainly not how I dress on a daily basis.
