1. Name: Kate
2. Age: 18
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Paris. For so many reasons. I love the lifestyle -- sitting in a cafe for hours drinking coffee and reading a book and no one minds. And it's just so beautiful. I could write and walk and just be.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? Hmmmm. It would have a lovely comfortable chair and a magic bookshelf that would produce any book I'd like and give me recommendations based on my personal taste. It would also have a coffee machine that makes the best coffee ever. Coffee and books. Yum.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? Probably Percy. He's just so gosh darn annoying (yes, I said "gosh darn") and the Weasleys are all so nice and he treats them like crap. Traitor.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full? It depends on my mood. I tend to live in extremes -- I'm either ridiculously happy or ridiculously sad. I have no middle ground. Healthy? No. But honest? Yes.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. "I love acting. It is so much more real than life." - Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? Family. But friends are a close second. Because I know that no matter what I do or what happens in my life my family will love me unconditionally and help me no matter what.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? The first time I ever acted/was on stage. I was Mrs. Rabbit in my first grade production of The Peter Rabbit Operetta and I had strep throat but got through the performance anyway. And after that? I was hooked.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? As I said before, I'm a person of extremes. And that's really unhealthy. I'm other completely ecstatic and feel like nothing can bring me down or really depressed. I'm wroking on it though.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? I'd like to think I would have. I'm honestly not sure though. Obviously, the "good guy" answer is to say yes. But it's hard to tell. To be honest, it would really depend on my position in the wizarding world. What if I were a pureblood in Slytherin? But me and who I am? Well. Probably. I'm an activist and usually like it when the good guys win. But I can't be 100% sure.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. I've been told I tend to make my coping process public. I either whine and complain and am completely miserable and don't want to see anybody or I just take charge and get it all over with. I'm under a lot of stress right now and I find that just taking charge is helping.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? Compassion. While justice is also important, I believe it's really vital to have compassion for other people. Even if you don't like them. Everyone is human, everyone has strenghts, and everyone has flaws.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? Both. There are times when I feel 8 and 28 and 18 all at once. At any given time of day. I'd like to think that I'm relatively mature for my age but there are times when I just want to be five years old again. Everyone has a little bit of both in them.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? Probably Ravenclaw. Although I think I have qualities of every house -- well, maybe not Gryffindor. I've never thought of myself as particularly brave. But I'm very loyal to my friends. And I can be cunning if necessary. But Ravenclaw just seems like the best fit.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
