1. Name: And
2. Age: 25
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? I have no idea. I have a hard time committing to a place I have never been to, and all the places I have been to so far, I can't entirely picture myself living there. It does have to have all four seasons, be near some sort of body of water and have lush and verdant landscapes and I think I would be sad without at least some hills. But I move a lot and I'm not sure I can live somewhere for over a year (as I haven't since I was 15).
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? Well that depends on what I'm requiring, doesn't it? :P Once again, I have no idea, but I wouldn't minding stealing Sara's Hugh Laurie!
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? This is also hard for me to answer as each character really does have a place and role in the story and that's enough for me. However, the character I enjoy reading about least is Hagrid. I always skip the Giant chapter when I read OotP and I hated Hagrid's reaction to Umbridge. I think Hagrid was more important in the earlier books, but now...well, yeah he can die and I wouldn't be too upset.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full? Both. I don't know, I always hated this question, sorry.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
She falls asleep the same way every night.
She dreams of new worlds in the TV light.
She's lonely, she's tired, she's lonely, she's crying.
It makes her feel like something's is going on.
It makes her feel like people are around
To tell her she's alright;
To keep out the night.
She wonders why she feels this way.
She wonders if she'll ever be okay.
There's nothing she can laugh about;
No anthem for a new tomorrow.
Cut off a long time ago, now no one wnats to hear about it.
She thinks about how everybody smiles,
But no one ever seems to have the time to ever stop and try to think;
To ever crack a little bit.
She knows that someday things are gonna change.
Things will get a little better,
But it just seems like everyday
It slips a little more and fades
It should feel good to be alive.
The world keeps dropping back, but she's still trying.
She leaves the TV on at night
So she won't have to keep on crawling inside herself.
- Screeching Weasel 'Second Floor East'
They were my favorite before I ever heard this song, but it just cemented that in my mind. Anyway that's the whole song - I couldn't just choose a part, but that is completely me for the past eight years at least.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? Oh gosh, I can't answer me? Um...usually family because they'll make me feel guilty if they're not.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? Getting my dollhouse the christmas I was either five or six. My dad made it and I had wanted a dollhouse for so long. Plus it was one of our last Christmasses in Chicago with the whole family together.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? My indecisiveness. If I just knew what I wanted, I feel like my life would have been so much better. Not that it's horrible, but I definitely wouldn't be in my eighth year of college. Maybe I should blame my laziness too!
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? No, I really don't think so. I may have wanted to, but I have never been a joiner of groups and clubs - too antisocial or something. Plus I would always forget about the meetings.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. Avoid! I'm the classic avoidant. If I can't run away from it, I'll put it off for as long as possible.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? Justice. Compassion is blind; justice is not. I believe in fairness and I don't believe people should rely on the kindness of others. I'm sure someday that will come around and bite me in the butt, but if I deserved it, then I won't complain.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? Both, depending. I can be immature sometimes and do some really stupid things and other times, I just don't care and want to have fun. I was way too mature when I was little and I think I'm making up for that right now. However, I feel like I'm an old lady sometimes, too. I already have a bunch of cats, I prefer to be alone most of the time, I prefer reading and knitting to most other things a lot of the time, and sometimes I really hate technology and modern things.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? I'm pretty sure I'd be a Ravenclaw. I'm been voted there in sorting comms and quizzes and I think I identify most with their traits above all the others. I'm still not entirely sure what my secondary house would be, although most people tell me probably Gryffindor.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
Me with Bailey. I have since learned how to pluck my eyebrows, yay!
