In different communities I've been stamped as nearly all Slytherin characters in existence. Well, let's see...
1. Name: Ramila
2. Age: 18
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? My only wish for now is to live alone, seeing as little of anyone as possible. The place where I live now suits me perfectly, but I wish there were less people around. I've never wanted this before, but I would like to settle down in a small town for a while. A year seems a nice period of time for that. In case you want me to specify the location, let it be Grytviken, a town on South Georgia island, not far from Antarctica. Just a whim, but I can't imagine a place remoter from the rest of the world.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? It would be a place heavily protected from intruders, as I don't like to be bothered. There will be bookshelves reaching the ceiling with lots of ancient and rare books. A desk with many small drawers, a very comfortable sofa and a special cupboard to keep things I couldn't put into the drawers =), also heavily protected. The windows should be rather long and have a wide window-sill for me to sit on, but there shouldn't be too much light in the room. I'd prefer artificial lighting, and not too bright. I'd like a lamp near the reading place and the desk, that would be quite enough. The colour of the walls and furniture would better be dark.
Some art supplies will do. And, yes, the last but not the least, the furniture would be rather old-fashioned and expensive, I'd love to feel the history of those things, the imprint of those who have used it before me and, besides, I simply like that kind of furniture.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? Ginny Weasley, especially after the fifth book. After being a nice shy kid she turned into a popular tomboy and so perfect in everything that even a typical Mary Sue could die of envy. For the same reason of popularity I don't like Sirius. I know I should take into consideration that Azkaban had a serious effect on him, but he was a fully grown man who still acted like he was at school. No matter if he wanted to bring back those days when he was not an escaped criminal, when he had friends and could do almost anything - there comes a time when you should grow up. Pity that he missed it. Logically Cho Chang should be next on this list, but she isn't. She's a Ravenclaw, and these people are usually more concerned about theory, thus they can be a bit far from reality sometimes. So she's been waiting for her prince, one died, another was a true Gryffindor and broke her dreams, who's next? I don't think even her fellow Ravenclaw could be a perfect match for her. I feel a bit sorry for her, in fact.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full? It depends. I hate this question, because it's too hard for me to answer without going into details. I'm not an optimist or a pessimist and before answering 'half empty' or 'half full' I'd find out what liquid is in the glass =)
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. Another generally annoying question, but I'll go with a quotation from 'Female mechanic now on duty' by Sonic Youth: 'Modern women cry, modern women don't cry'. I don't think it has a deeper meaning in the song itself, but somehow this line sums up something about me or my personality or the world around me or in fact anything else.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? Friends, no doubt about it. Friends are who you choose and who choose you, while your family is something that is with you since your birth and you cannot change it. I don't see how some people say that you have to love your family just because, well, they are your family. Yes, friends come and go, but at least you can learn from your mistakes, while your family is always somewhere near and usually even more so when you don't want it.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? Ngh. I usually remember bad things. I can remember some things that happened when I was like 3 years old or something, but these are usually unpleasant things. Such as nearly drowning when one of my cousins accidentally frightened me, or being deceived by my dad when I was about 4 (so you can see it's nothing really serious). Nice things usually stay in my mind as a bunch of different feelings, not as a memory.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? Although I'm quite selfish, I lack self-confidence, which drives me absolutely mad. But I believe I'm slowly overcoming this, so there's no need to dwell upon it so much. I don't really like showing my weaknesses, and I despise people who do, so the answer to this question is kind of destined to be short. Besides, I hate being criticised. I depend too much on what people say about me and always worry about what they might think. If I fail to think of an appropriate reply in an argument, I'll replay this scene in my head endlessly and decide what I should have said. Guh. Must. Fight. It.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? Had there been a more sufficient teacher, I would have joined the DA. But in the situation given I'd rather stay away. Signing the member list was a reckless thing to do, so was the organisation itself. I mean, they could've learned half the spells at the DADA lessons in previous years, or by themselves by just reading books. In any case there could've been unpredictable consequences if a spell went wrong and they would've had to turn to some adults for help. Harry knows like two or three spells that others don't... But, well, judging by what the members knew before joining it was useful for them.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. First and foremost stay calm and don't let your feelings show. Cry if you must, but not much and not in anybody's presence. Distract yourself with something more pleasant and only then think about the way out. If it's not clear yet, just start doing something to get out of the situation and the answer will come soon.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? Justice. Compassion is fine, but I try not to let it get the better of me.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? Both. Sometimes I like to think of myself as a child and act this way, but for a change it's nice to have an old soul. Whatever I want it to be at this particular moment, actually.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? Oh, I'm a Slytherin through and through. The Gryffindors' braveness, loudness and other characteristics just make my head ache, I'm in no way a Hufflepuff, although I respect them, and much more than the Gryffs. Ravenclaw usually comes second in all the sortings I've been through, but I just don't see myself as a Ravenclaw and don't know what makes people think so. I have a few friends that are definitely Ravenclaws and we differ so much that I'm somewhat confused if there are 'Claw votes.
