Stamp me baby!

1. Name: Emily, but my friends call me...Emily.

2. Age: 17

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? I'd have to find some tiny little village with winding streets in Italy where I could rent a flat near the center of town. I'd spend my time reading on the balcony in the sun, bicycling around the town, exploring the countryside near there, or having a good time at the local pub.

4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? It would have to be filled with hundreds of things for me to be doing. I can't hold still for long and so I need a variety of things that maintain my interest. I like reading, writing, painting, sewing, knitting, cooking, and a ton of other things. It would also have to have good international food in the kitchen or something. Mmm.

5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? My least favourite character has got to be Snape. I can't stand the way he's so childish about holding onto the way the Marauders treated him. Grow up already! Jeez. I really hate petty, immature people like him.

6. Is the glass half empty or half full? Half empty! It needs more of whatever it was! Hurry up! :> No really, I just am the sort of person that hates to run out of things and so even if my glass is half empty I have to fill it back up again.

7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. "Those are my principles. If you don't like them I have others. " - Groucho Marx. I don't know why, but that one amuses me. Well anything that man said amuses me. It has no significance to me, but um...thingy. I don't know! Stop looking at me like that!

8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? Family, always. I guess I've always been a pretty solitary kid and so my large family has filled in the gaps. At this point in my life they are the most important thing in the world to me. I may complain about them, but it's only because we spend SO much time together that it's inevitable that we'll make each other cross.

9. What is your favorite childhood memory? I remember the first time we ever went home (to Ireland) at Christmas, when I was four. I remember driving through these little villages and my tiny face was plastered to the window in the back seat in amazement.

10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? I tend to take on too much in my excitement with things. I'm always on the go, at least mentally, and so when I find something that totally excites and entertains me I have to do it AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. That's why I can never drink or smoke or do drugs, because I'd be addicted for life. It also means that in situations where I'm given responsibility I take on too much of it and get stressed out. It's a nasty circle.

11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? Oh probably. I'm always up for anything, consequences be damned, and something like that would have appealed greatly to me.

12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. I tend to go at 900 miles per hour until I implode. I go and go and go until I finally just break down in tears or rip someones' head off. I'm good for short-term stress, really good at it actually, but put me in a situation that can possibly result in a melt-down and I'm there.

13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? Justice. I'm very much a Texan (don't call me one though or I'll beat you up!) in the fact that I feel if you commit a crime, you need to be punished. And how better to discourage crime than to hit people with bricks when they mess up? It works for me.

14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? I'm totally a child at heart. In fact my mother often says I'm the oldest five year old that she knows. I still have toys that I play with occasionally (when I say play, I mean dress-up Barbies xD), and I love things kids love (candy, swings, finger-painting, etc.). I'd rather hang out with five year olds than eighteen year olds (teenagers look at you funny when you jump on the bed *shrug* lol).

15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? I really, really don't know. I'm a really scattered personality, so it's hard to pin it down. I'm not particularly brave, manipulative, hard-working, or witty. I'm a mix of all of those.

16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
