1. Name: Megan

2. Age: 19

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? I'm not sure. I really wish I could live in some remote place in Europe like those rich brats in Hemingway novels. That'd be awesome to just kick back and let the creative juices take their time to flow. I've made a recent decision that, if I ever win the lottery, I'll take a year off from school and travel the world in order to find myself like a dirty hippy.

4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? It would have a computer so I could write, and endless variety of art supplies, and, shoved in the corner, a pile of perpetually warm laundry for me to lie in. Oh, and a TV so I could watch The Gilmore Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. And an endless supply of Asian food!

5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? Umbridge, of course, but that's too easy. I also hate Colin Creevey because he needs to get a life. I mean, the kid is a Muggle born, so he has no real reason to idolize Harry. Dennis I'm okay with 'cause he's just copying big brother. Ron gets on my nerves quite a bit, too, but I take solace in the hope that he'll someday mature out of being a self-pitying, selfish fool.

6. Is the glass half empty or half full? Depends. If it's full and you drink it 'til it hits the halfway mark, then it's half empty. If it's empty and you fill it 'til it hits the halfway mark, then it's half full. Psychoanalyze that.

7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. "Be who are you and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss. I do not care what people think about me, and I say this with the utmost confidence. It's not because I wanna be cool, but because I'm absolutely sick of being self-conscious, and people who judge others sicken me. Recent tragic events in my life have made me realize that there a so many more important things to care about than what someone is saying behind your back- or to your face.

8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? I'd say friends. However, I have some family members that I see as friends, and never really cared for deeply until they became friends. We love family out of obligation, but we get to choose our friends.

9. What is your favorite childhood memory? My visits to Florida to be with my Nana and Papaw. I think those were the only times when my sister and I got along consistently when we were younger, and I love the beach. I don't have a clear memory of the visits, but I remember loving them.

10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? My horrible, crippling shyness. I used to not be able to order a pizza over the phone because I got too nervous, and romantic relationships have proven virtually impossible. I've done a lot of improvement since I've gotten to college and been forced to meet a whole bunch of people who were anxious to make friends, but I'm nevertheless isolated by my introverted disposition.

11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry's fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? Depends. If I were given the opportunity to hear Harry's side of the story from Harry himself, then I think I would have joined and enjoyed every minute of it. I love having an excuse to rebel, and I think I'd have an easy time accepting the true story because I'm ever so slightly suspicious of the government. However, if I hadn't heard Harry's story, I would remain neutral, skeptical of both sides.

12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. I react in two ways, depending on my current mood and the time of the month. I'll either be totally cool, ready to act quickly on my instincts, or I'll completely fall apart and have a panic attack. I thought I was bipolar for a while, but I finally discovered that the latter only happens when I'm PMSing. But when my hormones are stable, my brain clicks into survival mode during crisis, so I do rather well under pressure.

13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? Compassion. While justice is important, it is for authority figures to exact punishment. Compassion, on the other hand, is necessary for the individual growth of those who have the opportunity to express it. Compassion is not only meant to benefit the wrongdoers, but also to benefit those whom they have wronged.

14. Would you say that you're a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? Child. If you take yourself too seriously, then you'll just wanna kill yourself eventually. You gotta know how to have fun with even the tiniest things in life, and kids know how to do that. Also, being childlike (and please note the difference between childlike and childish) helps me maintain a certain amount of innocence, on which I place a lot of value.

15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? I used to be torn between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, because I've always thought- or at least hoped- that I was wise, but I'm also very (uncontrollably) honest and I care about people. But after, like, fifty sorting quizzes and much self examination, I've finally settled on Hufflepuff. [Only a Harry Potter fan would practice an in-depth self examination simply to place herself in a Hogwarts House.]

16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!

Taken by my roommate. She's a freaking pro with that picture phone:
