1. Name: Jessie
2. Age: Nineteen (though, only two months until twenty.)
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Oooh. I think Spain, probably. I went to school with a girl from Spain and she'd show me pictures and tell stores about her home and it just seemed so...cool. :)
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? There'd have to be a huge book case and a computer. Lots of comfy places to sit, beanbag chairs, arm chairs etc. and a stereo with a complete collection of musical soundtracks! My guitars would have to be there too and the floor would be squishy carpet - the kind that feels like you're walking on a cloud. :)
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? As it stands right now, Percy Weasley. I nearly dropped my book when I first read about how he'd gone and abandoned his family and devoted himself to the Ministry. :( It was such a shock. I know Percy was always sort of the 'outcast' Weasley, but to turn his back on everyone? Totally unexpected.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full? This is going to sound bad but: half empty. Unfortunately I am something of a pessimistic person. Though, if you think about it, drinking whatever is in the glass means it is disappearing. So technically you are emptying it as you drink it. Yes. I'll stick with that. XD
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. I've always liked Oscar Wilde's quote 'The world is a stage, but the play is badly cast.' I used it as my grad-quote in my yearbook. At the time I thought it was funny and hit the nail on the head as to how I felt about most people in my school. Now I sort of think of it as pertaining to a lot of the bad things that are going on in the world at the moment.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? That's a good question. But I must say family. My family is very important to me and so are my friends, but family has (obviously) been there for me my whole life. I'm just really close with them. That's not to say I wouldn't visit a friend in the hospital because I'd promised to go to the movies with my mum. But say, family dinner vs. night at the pub. Family dinner would definitely win.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? Dancing with my Grandma in the living room to oldies on the radio. :) I'd put on my housecoat and pretend it was a poofy dress and spin around the room. :)
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? My pessimism, definitely. I always expect the worst. Though I am working on being a little more optimistic. I also have a bit of trouble expressing myself. I'm always tripping over my words or using the wrong words or just saying the most horribly wrong things at the wrong time. In situations like this, filling out surveys and what have you, I never think I end up writing as much as I should. I'm sure that people read them and think 'Huh?'.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? A resounding yes. In high school I was never one for EC Activities unless they had a purpose. I'd have rather been in something that raised money for something important rather than a sports team just to have fun after school. And since the DA was started to teach students how to defend themselves in the upcoming dark times it was without a doubt very important.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. Surprisingly, I get much more done when I'm stressed. I've written some of my best essays the night before. In difficult situations I tend to fare worse because I just get frustrated. Being stressed but knowing what I'm doing is better than just not having a clue. For me, anyway. :)
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? Compassion. I have a reason in my head but I really don't know how to explain it and have it make sense. So I'll just say that I think compassion is a very important thing to have because it's what makes us human. To have compassion for someone, even if you don't agree necessarily with what they do or what they stand for means that you care and that you feel and you have heart. I don't even really think that this is making much sense, to tell you the truth. Hopefully you guys get my meaning.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? I'm definitely a child at heart. I don't want to grow up. I'm at that point where I should be thinking about moving out, getting a full time job and making my own way in life. The thought truly terrifies me. I wish I could have stayed five years old forever. Hehe. I still sleep with a night light for crying out loud. I'm not ready to live by myself. XD
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? In all honesty, even though I fancy myself a Slytherin, it'd probably put me in Hufflepuff. I'm not really all that ambitious and even though I read all the time I'm absolutely crap at doing scholarly things like essays and reports. I'm also a total scardy-cat. O.o
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun! I only have one and it's a bit small and crap. It's from my grade twelve year book and horribly exposed. It looks like my face is flat.
