Here from Incarcerous...

1. Name: Tara.

2. Age: 26. I have to actually think about it these days, which is a sure sign that I'm getting old.

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Northern England. That's not a pipe dream, though, that's a plan. The timing is as yet unknown, but I have every intention of moving there eventually. I'm half-English, and that's where home is.

4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? If we're going for a generic room, and not one based on my current mood, the walls would be lined with books, my laptop would be in there, I'd have a huge TV and a good DVD player and every Britcom and Horror DVD my little heart desires. I'd have paper to draw on, notebooks to write in and someone or something to constantly boost my ego by making flattering comments about every little thing I did.
*cough*
Oh, and Agrippa's lost works would be there too. I intend to be the world's leading Agrippa expert, and those would come in very handy.

5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? If you asked me after reading OotP, I would have said Harry, but HBP has made me warm to him a little, which rather horrifies me. It's certainly not any of the usual characters people put down. Peter, for instance, is one of the most fascinating characters in the series.
I think I'm going to have to go with Dumbledore on this one. He was an old fool who was extremely biased towards Gryffindor and his favourite few students and I was glad to see him die. If he was the most loved and revered wizard in the wizarding world, it doesn't surprise me that people joined up with Voldemort instead.

6. Is the glass half empty or half full? I always say that not only is it half empty, but it's also cracked and has a smudged lipstick stain on the rim.

7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
"Nemo me impune lacessit"
It's an Latin motto, literally meaning "No one assails me with impunity", but more simply translated as "mess with me and lose". Ever since I first read it in a Latin text about six years ago, I've adopted it as my own motto.

8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? My immediate family. My parents have made every sacrifice necessary for me, and I respect them greatly. I'm also very lucky in that my mother is also a close friend. If I needed anything, my family would do their best to provide it for me, and I would do the same for them. I love my close friends very much, but I don't have the same responsibility to them that I do to my family.

9. What is your favorite childhood memory? I don't have favourite memories so much as I have favourite places and most of those involve either the mountains or water (beach, river, lake). I find it hard to define childhood, too. At this stage of my life, everything up until leaving school tends to be lumped together. If we're talking very small, there was the time when I told my next door neighbour, who was the same age as me, that my large tabby cat was actually a tiger. He refused to come anywhere near the property line for months. I thought it was a brilliant lark.

10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? Perfectionism. That sounds like a job interview response, but I mean it. It's not a positive; it's definitely a flaw. It means that nothing and no one is ever good enough for me, including myself.

11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? Ha! No, not at all. I'd have been in the Inquisitorial Squad, without a doubt. I'd have loved finally having a way of evening out all that favouritism towards the Gryffindors.

12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. With cold rationality. I just do what has to be done, regardless of what that is. I'm never emotional when I'm required to act. If I collapse in a heap, it's after the event, and in private. I have a reputation for being strong; I also have a reputation for being a cold bitch. The two of them go together, and I think it's a lot to do with the way I can repress my emotions more than most.

13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? Justice, without a question. Although, I'm not talking about the specific justice of one society or another; I'm talking about true justice. Karma, even. People should get what they deserve, regardless of how many sob stories they spin.

14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? Neither. I'd say I pretty much act my age. I can watch children's cartoons and enjoy myself and I can cook a dinner party for eight. We all have different aspects and although I might have my juvenile moments or my middle-aged moments, that's just part of being a multi-faceted human being.

15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? I'm always sorted into Slytherin. Without fail. Still, I call myself a Slytherclaw, because I very much value learning and intelligence... it's just that I also believe in being the best in my academic field and in using said intelligence to win at whatever cost to those around me. So yes, the hat probably would place me in Slytherin, but I think it'd raise Ravenclaw as a possibility. There's some Hufflepuff in me, but probably not enough for it to rate a mention. As for Gryffindor? As much as I'd love to be the James Potter of my time, no. I'm a coward.

16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!

I'm slightly obsessed with seals *g*
