1. Name: Jennifer
2. Age: 16
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Somewhere with a lot of variety. I need a lot of wonder and disgust - two polar opposites of every ideal to keep my interested. :] A forest with a city, a bunch of different races and cliques and trends, awesome.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? It would have a bed. A big, comfy bed of downy goose feathers and large pillows. And I would sleep. And part of it would be a supermarket, with exotic and plain foods from all over the world. I would have a television, a library with comic books and Kafka, and a lot of music. An insane amount of music splurging from the room at all times. I'd have all instruments ever known to man, as well as every Broadway score.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? Harry. He's too whiny. I at first sympathized with him, that his parents were dead and that people glared at him like a fish out of water, but from the recent books, I just wish he would shut up sometimes. He also seems like a fairly flat character; I want him to vary between different attitudes besides 100% hero and 100% emo. He just seems like a boring slacker, an emotional, boring slacker.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full? Both. I really can't say. It depends on my mood.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. From Steppenwolf by Hesse, there was an excerpt about, "Man has many facets. Like a flower bed, he has hundreds of flowers and faces; it is just a matter of which is the tallest, and therefore most prominent."
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? Both. I love who I love, and family is a superficial label that means nothing. My family has to be my friend for me to love them, and many of my friends transform into my family.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? Whenever I was not at home. It was quieter, more peaceful. Even if friends are only obliged to be so kind, it was the first time I ever felt any of that gentleness to such a degree.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? Dependency.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? Of course! Maybe it's because I'm too spontaenous, but I would have enjoyed meeting new people and furthering my knowledge of spells. When you know more, you're less likely to die. Unless you know too much, then nevermind.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. Depends on the multitude of the situation. Most of the time, I keep quiet and stay quiet, shuffling the stress to the back of my mind and continue working on the problem until its fixed. Basically, keeping cool. But sometimes, when pushed too far, I become furious. I basically yell a lot, and make people cry.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? It depends on the situation. What if there was justice without any compassion, for let's say, a child who, for the first time, steals a fairly menial toy. What do you do, send him to jail for ten years? That's why there are juvenille courts, because there's compassion for younger children. But at the same time, if there was no justice and only compassion, the world would end in anarchy and destruction. Irony? Anyway, it's all about moderation.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? Both. I can be free, and playful, much like a child, but that's completely insane if that were all I acted as. As well, it would be impossible for me to be completely serious at all times. There are times for both, and I know when to exercise each one.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? I'm not sure. Slytherdoruffclaw.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
P.S. Cho has NOTHING on me.
