1. Name: Tracy
2. Age: 16
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
This is quite tough. I would love more than anything to move back to Germany because I have many fond memories of growing up there, and I don't think living anywhere else could make me happier. There are many places I'd like to VISIT, but living.... Germany.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
A pool. I love swimming, and try to do it as much as possible to stay in shape, and just because I love the competition. :] Oh, and maybe like... a magical-something-or-rather I could race against for practice! Then some actual weight machines and stuff for out-of-the-pool, and I'd probably have a hot tub and sauna to relax my muscles once I'm done working out. I would just go in to workout, release my tension
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?
I don't exactly hate any character, really, since each of them have their times to be irritating, but I guess I'll say Colin Creevey. Don't get me wrong, he can be fine, at times, but he was too irritating and admiring of Harry (especially in book 2), which was a bit creepy. I know how that is, when people admire you, but then when it become obsessive and stalker-ish, you just want to tell them to go away so you can have some peace. It's flattering to have admirers, but I would rather make friends naturally, not have people like you for your looks or what you've done.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full?
Half full. I'm a optomistic kind of person; people who always have a negative attitude and search for pity make me angry. I never want to be like that kind of person. I'd rather think positive, because something good can come from any situation. Even when something awful is going on, I try to see how the situation can shape me into a stronger and more mature person.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
Friendship is not something you learn in school, but if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.
~Mohammed Ali
I think this is so true! Friendship is an amazing thing, no matter who it is with, and once you have experienced a true friendship, you have really experienced joy. Thats why you have to treasure the true freindships you have because so many people come and go through your life, but true friends (and friendships) will remain until the end.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?
It's strange, because when something is going wrong with my family, I turn to my friends, BUT if something is going on with my friends, I turn to my family! I feel both are equally imporant, because my family is also considered to be friends. Each have good and bad parts to them. Friends are usually with you in daily routine, so they can relate to you, but family gives uncconditional love. They are both equally
9. What is your favorite childhood memory?
I lived by a very small town in Germany, and I have memories of walking into the town I lived in winter, when all the decorations and lights were up, and going to a little shoppe for hot chocolate. It was delicious and it warmed me in the bitter cold and snow, and I remember it was especially nice right before Christmas time when there were carolers out. I would be all bundled up and cold, but I would still tromp down there for it.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?
Hard for me to make friends. I'm friendly once you know me, but I'm not exactly socialable or easily approachable. People sometimes say I come off as "snobby", but it's really my kind-of aloof and shy nature. I wish I didn't come off that way to people though; it just takes me a little time to warm up to people!
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?
This depends on how Umbrage had treated me. I wouldn't go out of my way to be mean to HER or anything, so I probably wouldn't like or hate her. I'd tolorate her, probably. Even if she did treat me poorly, I may not have joined the DA. Truthfully, if she hated Dumbledore, or whatever, it's Umbrage's business. I don't really care what she does. There are always going to be people who don't like you in life, you just have to deal with it... sinking to their level won't get you anywhere.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.
I swim or go for a run. When I swim (or run), I am able to let go of all my frustrations and tire myself out... I become sore and unable to focus on my frustrations, pain, anger- whatever it may be. Exersizing helps me release my tension and just makes me feel better about everything. If this isn't an option at that time, I try to just close my eyes and focus. I don't like overreacting to situations, but sometimes I can't help it. When this happens, I can have a terrible temper....it takes me a few days to calm down, but this doesn't happen often. I usually keep a handle on my emotions.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?
Compassion. I always feel everyone deserves a second chance. Justice seem true to me, because another, flawed, human being is "judging" them. How can there be true justice if we're all imperfect? What seems right to one person may be wrong to you. Who sets the standards? I feel that if you show compassion, someone can turn out to be very different than you thought originally.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?
I'm kind of childish, and not really in the best way, either. For instance, I have akwardness with expressing myself emotionally or, can be too naiive. I don't really like the idea of growing-up, but sometimes I feel I have to, because my friends are all so mature...sometimes. Okay, I'm definately still a child at heart. :]
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in?
Gryffindor. At first, I was going to say Ravenclaw, but... no... I don't exactly have a "love of learning" as in Ravenclaw. I don't even particularly like school; Gryffindor seems to suit me because I don't have a problem saying what I believe is right, no matter what other people have to say about it. I enjoy risks and taking a chance, whether it be on people, or whatever, and I am also determined. Once I TRULY set my mind to something, I will eventually achieve it, no matter how long it takes. Of course, I may also fit into Hufflepuff, it's hard to say. I'm honest and loyal too. It's hard to say.
