1. Name: Ashley

2. Age: just turned 23!

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? It’s probably been said quite often, and most are probably tired of hearing it - but London, England. Every time I travel I end up comparing it to that one city and whether or not it measures up or not, and so far none have. Perhaps it’s because London is the thriving metropolis that still seems to hold on to so much ‘at-home’ comforts.

4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? A small, comfortable, living environment with multitudes of books and coffees - teas that lined dozes of shelves and a crisp cool winter air that blew through it so I would find comfort in the small fire and a fuzzy blanket. Of course, there would be large arm chairs for when my friends or family would want to visit. Most of all, though, there would be huge windows that overlooked a winter wonderland, a never ending flurry of snow falling from the sky.

5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? Dolores Umbridge, without a second thought. Her inability to listen to anybody other than her snide little inner voice, the way she condescends by just sitting there in her toad-like manner, her hem hems…everything about that woman causes my blood to boil.

6. Is the glass half empty or half full? Oh, I’d have to ask first what the glass was filled with.

7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. “think how much worse it would be if life was fair, and all the awful things that happened to us happened because we actually deserve them. I for one take great comfort in the completely impersonal hostility of the universe.” - Babylon Five (originally I found it in Cassandra Claire’s Draco triology)

8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? Oh, that’s not fair. My friends are my family. I suppose in the grander scheme of things my family really truly comes first. I base my decisions on whether or not they’ll think it’s right or wrong - yet it’s my friends that I turn to for the support I need.

9. What is your favorite childhood memory? Taking my Snoopy stuffed animal with me out into the snow and building a very lopsided snowman ‘together’ when we still lived in a cold climate (not anymore though!). So many people called us Calvin and Hobbes the way we played together constantly.

10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? Whenever something happens that doesn’t show me in a good light, I become incredibly sensitive. My biggest flaw is definitely that I am overly emotional, whether it’s quick to cry or quick to anger.

11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? I think I would’ve been one of the ones that were terrified of going, but went nonetheless. I’m horrible about not wanting to break the rules, unless it’s for a very good reason. In this case, the reason seems justified.

12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. Most of the time I’ll take a deep breath, go off on my own for a moment (have a good cry if I need to - although sometimes that happens even when I’m NOT alone) and then trudge on through what needs to be done. Sure I’ll rant and rave and have mini tantrums about it, but I know that in order for anything to get fixed I have to get off my behind and just DO IT.

13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? Compassion. I think it’s through compassion that justice is served - if that makes any sense to anybody other than myself. There are other situations of course where justice must prevail, but it’s incredibly subjective depending whose side of justice are you on.

14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? Definitely a child at heart. I was just discussing this recently, actually, since my birthday was just the other day. So many people as they get older don’t want a big hooplah to be made about another year passing, yet I on the other hand love being showered with attention, given grand lavish presents of toys and such, and being given hugs and kisses all around. And of course, there is that part of me that wants to just sit around and laugh at a ball bouncing by…and taken care of like I was a spoiled little kid. Then again, I suppose I could do that in senile old age as well…

15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? Whenever I’ve taken these tests, it seems to teeter constantly between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff and I can never tell which one would be more relevant. I don’t think I’m very brave, and while I’m cunning to an extent (and kind of manipulative to boot) I’m not so much to be placed in Slytherin (I don’t think)- so that rules out the two for sure. If there were a Ravenpuff house, that’s where I’d go.

16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun! Okies! I agree!
