1. Name: Valerie

2. Age: 22

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? If I could live anywhere, I would probably choose London. I love the idea of living abroad, in a place so different from home. I'm intrigued by the British culture, and would like to live there for some time if I could. Besides that, probably New York. It's so busy, so many people. Always something going on to take part in, yet you can get lost in it as well.. become anonymous if you want to.

4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? It would be a dark, quiet room. Dark, overstuffed furniture. Comfortable but a little old-fashioned. There would be books and a piano, a desk with my computer and hi-speed internet access (of course!), surround sound for my music to play. It would really just be a place I could get away from everything and everyone. And the windows would always make it seem like it was raining outside.

5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? Oh, so hard to choose. If I go with one that's a regular character (because come on, everyone hated Umbridge) I would go with Draco Malfoy. He's just a horrible little kid. He cannot think for himself, he makes no effort to do anything for himself, he just lives through his family name. He uses his family to intimidate and push his way through life. You have to wonder if he's worth anything on his own. Any talents? Any true friends? He's just lazy, and he's a coward. Lots of talk and no action. The tides may change come book seven, but until then, I stick by this view of him.

6. Is the glass half empty or half full? Half-empty. It just is. Why settle for the half-full? You're missing half of what you could have ideally.

7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. "I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?" -- John Lennon

8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? My friends are family to me. They're all important. It depends on the severity of the situation. Deathbed? Immediate family... the close family unit. Then friends, then extended family, I think. It's sort of hard to prioritize. My friends and my family mean the world to me.

9. What is your favorite childhood memory? My favorite childhood memory would probably have to be all the Christmas mornings I can remember. My family always has the best time on Christmas morning. Exchanging gifts, laughing, just being together. I can't pinpoint an exact favorite.. I had quite the happy childhood, I'm proud to say.

10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? My biggest flaw is probably my temper. When I'm angry, everyone gets the brunt of it. I just pretty much go postal on anyone. And what's worst about it, is that it can stem from pretty much anywhere -- I can be frustrated with a friend, or over schoolwork. I can be irritable from being tired, or just moody -- I'm so incredibly moody -- and the next thing I know I'm snapping at everyone and I walk around looking like this - >:I - all the time.

11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? Oh definitely, hands down. I've done the math (because.. I'm a nerd like that?) And during Harry's fifth year, I would have been a second year. And if they would take me, I'd be all about it. And I'd love to continue it once Harry left Hogwarts as well. I think I'm a fighter and would love to be in an organization that supported Dumbledore and the fight against Voldemort in that way.

12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. I tend to have better performance under pressure -- like up against a deadline. But when I'm really stressed, as mentioned, I get moody and irritable. And then I start snapping at people. I tend to focus for a while, and then I start to wander mentally when I have to get something done that I don't really want to do. I think overall, I just become moody and aggressive.

13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? I would have to say justice. Justice is based on what is right, which can often stem from compassion. It's a bit of a circle, really. But in the end I feel what is right must be upheld. But that doesn't mean passion can't find itself a partner in justice.

14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? Old soul. I have my playful side, for sure. I'm a complete goofball. But when it comes down to it, I'm quite serious. I'm quite introspective. I guess it's a bit hard to describe and old soul, but I feel I am one. I don't feel "new" much of the time, in many situations.

15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? Gryffindor. It's just always been Gryffindor. And it's not because it's the "popular" house or the "glorified" house. I just feel I really do belong there. I see so much of myself in those sorted into Gryffindor, and I find parallels in myself and the strengths of Gryffindor House.

16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun! Sure, why not?
