1. Name: Bec. Simple, isn’t it? However, I’m also predominantly Hugo by the majority of friends … I even have a cult, it’s quite splendid.
2. Age: 17 … in two months.
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Undoubtedly somewhere that is not here. I see myself ending up in America for the sole reason that I’d be greatly appreciated as a token English girl over there, than being like everyone else here.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? Tres interessant chums. A bed, for a start, I’m often rather sleepy. I’m currently in a state where I haven’t a clue what I need … I am a teen after all. I’d say answers though … just in general. Not to any particular test or something similarly dreadful. Just something to tell me that I know what I’m doing once in a while.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? Colin Creevey. Just because he’s terribly irritating and I currently have an annoying midget that follows me around occasionally, asking for hugs. *blank stare*
6. Is the glass half empty or half full? You got a glass?!
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. The most painful state of living is remembering the future. - Soren Kierkegaard
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? Usually friends, because I don’t get on with my family particularly well … however I often doubt who or where my friends are so that never goes too well either at times. Let’s just go with friends to save time.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? My long term memory is terrible at times … Probably snow at Christmas. Fleeting memories of a random year and being bundled all up in a pink one piece winter suit when I was like five, but not caring that you walked like the tin man and was choking on six scarves, because it was snow and terribly special.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? Being oh so terribly bitter and envious of the majority of people. It’s an awful thing to do, and I’m beginning to sound like a crappy person thanks to this application … wonderful.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? I would have liked to though there would have been my strong possibility of fearing authority and therefore Umbridge … ah well. Yes I would have done. Hexes and jinxes and defence moves sounds like fun.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. Oh I’m a barrel of laughs. I pass through panic, frustration, dread, terror, and apathy in the space of oh … thirty seconds. Then I wait until someone takes charge, get annoyed that no one is, so I take it upon myself to sort things out … which more often than not does not work out too well. It also involves yelling. I like to be told what’s happening usually. However, I’ve now taken to taking nice deep breaths and the process of self-actualisation. You can so tell I do psychology.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? Value or think is right? Compassion is needed to make just choices to be frank, for there are often multiple things to take into account; unfortunate or random circumstances for example. In singular circumstances, compassion is highly important. However in society terms, justice is my friend.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? To be frank, Lord knows what I am anymore. I’m old in the sense that I end up sitting back and watching events happen and often prefer it that way, and also that I’m such a damn mother sometimes, it’s terribly annoying. But then I still love the Carebears, and running around like a crazed fool singing Disney songs at the top of my lungs, and thinking that I can get away with refusing to accept reality for another hour.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? Tricky monkeys, that is … if you had asked me two years ago, I would have immediately said Ravenclaw, because I’m special and like to think that I have a fancy-pants brain. And yet, my wonderously bitter and very slightly … vindictive temperament shows through from time to time, which inclines me to Slytherin … but let’s stick to Ravenclaw … just because.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun! Me = so not photogenic.
