1. Name:
Thea

2. Age:
24

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
A small cottage in a clearing, either the Southern US (where I'm from) or maybe Ireland. Either way, something with lots of green and pretty colors. With a brook following over rocks along the back of the property, close to a big city somewhere. The cottage would be made of stone. That's the place I'd live. I couldn't choose a city, because it's not about location, but the house itself.

4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
Lots of books, plenty of historical romance novels and chick lit; a big huge fuzzy blanket that I can wrap up in; a lot of my music choices; a few friends that don't mind me being solitary at times; lots of my food choices and drinks (alcoholic and not); and few Greek gods to keep me entertained (Athena and Artemis especially). A girl's gotta have a few Gods around, let her know just what's going up at the old hangout. Oh, and a huge overstuffed couch to lounge in. All mine too. My friends would be out of luck on that.

5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?
Sirius Black is usually my answer, but I think the older I get, the more I dislike the Twins. Of course, that could be a Sirius reason too, for being bullies unnecessarily. It's fine to laugh, to have fun, but it's not funny when you're doing it at someone else's expense, especially when they repeatedly tell you to stop. They also have no sense of rules, of the importance that if everyone were to break rules, it'd be anarchy. Anarchy is never as much fun as it sounds from a romanticized view.

6. Is the glass half empty or half full?
Neither. It's equally both, like life. Optimism and pessisim are always around in life. So, you get neither because then it's happy balance.

7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
Cordelia: So this isn't you being afraid of hospitals 'cause your friend died and you wanna conjure up a monster that you can fight so you can save everybody and not feel so helpless?
Giles: Cordelia, have you actually ever heard of tact?
Cordelia: Tact is just not saying true stuff. I'll pass.
-- "Killed By Death," Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

Pretty much my philosophy...better described in Question 10. Basically though, I just think tact is okay at certain times (like when someone dies, and you don't tell the widowed they look like death warmed over) but day-to-day it just leads to false hope on someone ever being perfect. So, I don't do that. Very rarely is sugarcoating done with me.

8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?
Friends. My family is an inconsiderate lot most of the time, but my friends take care of me. In return I'd move the heavens for them whenever they need me. And work, as in my job, falls off the list, unless I can make a lot of money.

9. What is your favorite childhood memory?
Easily it would be going to Sea World when I was eight and getting to go up and pet the dolphins in front of the audience. I mean to touch and communicate with them was amazing. When the man said, "on the count of three jump in with them," I was ready. Unfortunately he didn't mean it and had to grab me by the seat of my pants (literally had the band) to keep me from visiting them and the Beluga whales. The joke was on him, though. I'm a great swimmer.

10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?
My lack of filter. I will say what I want, when I want, and I really don't care much how people care. I figure it's my voice, and by golly, I'll use it. Even if people really don't wanna hear. But then, everyone should want to hear what I have to say, since usually it's the truth. I'm just not ashamed to say it.

11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?
I would have. For two reasons: it's always wise to be prepared in the middle of war time, and it's even better to know what your enemies (if you weren't sincere in joining) are learning as well. After all, useful information has kept more than one person alive in the past, might as well be me, and if I can use the skills learnt, more the better for me.

12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.
I get high strung. I hate pressure, I do well in it, but I hate it. So I get bitchy, snap at everyone, but I get the job done. Don't win any friends, but meh, at least I'm pleased with myself.

13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?
Depends. If the justice is a good punishment (such as a person cheats on someone, they can't perform that way until the confesses), then that has a greater value Compassion is a brilliant concept, but sometimes we lose sight of the fact not everyone deserves it. Case in point, Peterson has a greater chance of skating in Hades than gaining mine, even I do I have it in spades. Besides, what’s better than handing out a little justice when you’ve been wronged?

14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?
Old soul. I'm not young; I've never been young. I've taken care of myself all my life, so I never had the childlike qualities. Even if I hadn't I think I would have an old soul. I've always been a serious person, taking care of everyone around them.

15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in?
Probably Hufflepuff, that compassion thing, too bad it's not all I am. I have too many short tendencies, too many Gryff ones. But the compassion is a big part of who I am, which is why I rather justice more...I have compassion, I don't need it, but I need the justice.

16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
I have none that I'm willing to show the public (hey! None of those statements thank you very much). They were made when I looked bad and I don't see myself parading my picture when I'm looking less than stellar. You can pretend my icon is me.
