1. Name: Samantha, but I go by Sam or Sammi
2. Age: 15 in a few days
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
England because I like rainy weather, I want to go to Oxford for college and I’d like a change from American culture 4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
A sort of small but open room with marble flooring that has a rug in the middle with a leather couch and chair, various mahogany tables and bookshelves packed with books, a nice computer that works well enough to write on and not have it have seizures and video game system with a small fridge and microwave packed with various snacks.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?
Bellatrix Lestrange because she tortured poor Neville’s parents into insanity and left the poor kid who isn’t that bright to begin to pretty much fend for himself, killed Sirius, someone who I loved dearly and for really no reason than just to kill someone, and she was an idiot to proclaim her loyalty to Voldemort in front of the Ministry of Magic. Honestly, a death eater is not useful when they’re wasting away in Azkaban.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full?
Half empty because I think it’s the more realistic view point to be prepared for the glass to eventually be fully empty instead of just mindless hoping it’s going to refill suddenly.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
I’ve forgotten who said this as it was my Mid-Term exam English essay final and I’ve blocked out a lot of my finals but the quote says(if I recall it correctly), “The trouble with most people today is that they use their hearts to think and not their minds.”
This describes my constant frustration with people I meet because they always make stupid decisions based on their emotions at the time. I try to hardly ever think with my emotions so I can make the most clear-headed decision.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?
I’d have to say I’m equal. I’m much closer to my best friends than I am to my family just because we talk about different things and go through the same situations and such, but my family is still like, my flesh and blood so I’m still quite close to them.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory?
I’m still technically in my childhood I guess but my favorite memory from when I was really young was the summer time when my neighbors and I would play outside everyday and just swim and ride bikes. We had nothing to worry about at all and soon after my neighbors moved away so I don’t get to see them a lot. It was a very peaceful and fun time and when I do get to see my neighbors we spend ages just talking about everything we did. If you were to ask me now I’d have to say going to get the sixth Harry Potter book with my two best friends because we went to Spellbound! dressed in wizard robes and saw Harry and the Potters perform before getting our books at midnight.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?
This may seem arrogant but I don't think I have a biggest flaw. I tend to procrastinate a lot on things I’m not particularly motivated in which gets annoying while in school, though
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?
I think I would have because while I really admire Voldemort for his intelligence and cunning, I don’t agree with his whole killing people thing and besides, I hated Umbridge with a passion so anything going against her would be nice. If she were to stay as headmistress, however, I don’t think I would have because a group of students wouldn’t have made much of a difference and while I hated her I’d have a much easier time at Hogwarts if I’m not constantly battling someone who controls my education and future.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.
I react calmly and think about things before I do them because acting rash could make an already difficult situation a helluva lot worse. I weigh the options instead of going with my first instinct as I’ve found that first instinct is some crazy, outrageous one that wouldn’t help at all.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?
I value justice a lot more than compassion. This is a bit hard to explain, but I honestly don’t care that much about how others feel, if they acted on their own accord to do something they deserve what’s coming to them and I couldn’t care less if they start crying.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?
I’d say I have an “old soul” because while I enjoyed being a child it’s not good to always be oblivious and be in your own world, or hold on to things that you had your heart set on at age five. As people get older they have more experiences that make them wiser that lets them deal with specific situations and I keep the things I learned from my experiences to not make the same mistake again.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? Slytherin because I’m quite ambitious, I can be manipulative to get what I want and given the chance I would save my own skin instead of someone else’s. I’m not always the nicest person and I don’t really think of other’s feelings, when I make decisions.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
