Stamp me please. =)
1. Name: Cheska
2. Age: I'm a young teenager.
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
London, England. It's always been a dream of mine to be able to live there. There's so many attractions, it has so much history, and to me it seems like such a gorgeous place. If I'm just able to get there I seriously wouldn't know which place to go to first. And there seems to be just a whole diversity of people, and I love British accents.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
Hmm..let's see, probably a room with sky blue walls, painted with soft, fluffy clouds. A cosy, comfy bed that I could just nap on, abookshelf with a whole set of books I adore reading. Probably some incense somewhere, and those sweet-smelling candles. There would be a table with a laptop and my iPod as well. Tea, biscuits and chocolate would hopefully be there on a silver, shiny tray. In short, just a place where I can be relaxed and not worry about anything at all.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?
Ginny Weasley. I just never liked her. In the first 4 books..she was ok. I never really noticed her completely to tell you the truth. Maybe that's why she kind of bugged me, she was a minor character, hardly any role at all (but I have to give her COS though), and it all changed when she became the pretty, fiesty, popular, great Quidditch-player, Miss-Independent kind of girl in OOTP. And the way she just..seemed to play around with boys. Yeah, she's a very true Gryffindor, but the way her character changed drastically and the kind of person she changed into, it just annoyed me. But then that's just my opinion, so sorry to those who like her.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full?
I wouldn't really be able to state my opinion if you don't show me the glass. But um, that aside, I would say half-empty. I'm rather a realist, but mostly I tend to be pessimistic. But it also depends on what your perspective is, or in the situation and how you handle it.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
I'm not particularly fond of Ashlee Simpson, but I'm just attached to this lyric of hers from her song 'Autobiography': "I'm a simple girl in a complex world."
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?
Family. They keep me grounded and they just care about me. To tell you the truth, I don't really have a best friend, one that I'm really close to and one that I can share secrets with and all that? None. Nada. And true, I'm usually not fond of my family at times, but you can tell they care about me and they try my best to make me happy. I'm more comfortable being around them that with my friends. So yes, family comes first.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory?
Ah, let's see...well you see, when I was little I have this huge collection of figurines, either of princesses, heroes, or anything of that sort, mostly because of my Mom's job in Jollibee. (let's call it the McDonalds alternative in the Philippines, so she brings me home all this 'Happy Meal' toys). There must be at least, I don't know, 50 of them, and they are all displayed in the shelf under our television. The television was the first thing you'll bump into once you get down the stairs. Little me, I would go take maybe 5 or 6 of the figurines, go sit on the stairs, and play with them. Everytime someone goes up and down the stairs, I always have to move along with the toys so there won't be any slipping involved. I even remember that I always did that around 3pm in the afternoon, and that I was often alone and enjoying myself. =) Good times, good times. I miss those times, I just miss being all alone and not care about anything else for a while.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?
I have a tendency to procrastinate. I know fully well that I have to do something, but instead I do something completely pointless. Time flies by, I realize I haven't done what I'm supposed to do, and I cram, do things in the last minute. That, unfortunately , has become a habit for me, as things I have to do start to get boring and something that I hate. It's my biggest flaw, because well, it has gotten in the way of how I work at school and the way my parents think I handle things. It has also piled up the things I have to do right now.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?
Yes, definitely. I would be half-doubting Voldemort is really back, though. I think the reason I would join it is because I want to learn how to defend myself. I've always wanted to learn how.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.
Well, first I go over the situation. What happened, how it happened, and what was the result. Then I'll try and find a way to solve it. Sometimes I procrastinate, put off dealing with it (I swear I need to rid of this habit), sometimes I don't, but it depends on the situation. Hopefully it'll be solved. If not, I'll just go 'Oh,well, I tried,'. I always try and solve things by myself. I prefer doing things alone.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?
I personally have hardly experienced any justice in my life. But I have to go with that, because I've always wanted fairness and equality in the world. This world is pretty unfair, after all.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?
Old soul, definitely. I'm too boring and things that are fun to most people are things I hate to do. I prefer quite, calm ,peaceful surroundings. And I love being alone. I would pick a day all by myself rather than a huge party with lots of socializing. I like the simplicity of things, and I'm way too sensitive. I'm also quite practical.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in?
I honestly have no idea, to tell you the truth. But I would love to be placed in Ravenclaw, I love to research and read books, not when it's a task to be done, but just for the fun of it, you know, to learn new things. People always say I use too much words that they couldn't understand. I think it's because I read too much, and my vocabulary expands as I read more and more. But I don't really know, it seems that there's more to Ravenclaw than just being smart.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
I really don't like the way I look, but here you go anyway:
