Stamp me

1. Name: Susie

2. Age: 14

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
Australia. After reading In a Sunburned Country by Bill Bryson (yeah...I read travel books) I was instantly captivated. Is there any other place on earth where so many things could kill you? I don't want to die, but I must admit that there's something very awesome about being that near death all the time. It would definitely make me appreciate life a little more.
...and also I want an Australian accent. Virginian accents are (and I mean this in the best way possible) barf.

4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
Sometimes I just need a little personal space for perhaps an hour or so, and then I'd want it small, cozy, filled with books, and royal purple. Other times, I really need people to be there or I get so bored my head explodes. So I'd want it large, filled with video games, and still purple. Both versions would need plenty of couches, of course, because without comfort I might as well be dead.

5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?
Slughorn. He's deliberately mean to people and uses everyone for his own personal gain. And he contains not a shred of loyalty. I can't respect someone, or even tolerate them, if they aren't loyal.

6. Is the glass half empty or half full?
Half full. Why not look on the bright side?

7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem - whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
"Laugh at yourself first, before anyone else can." I don't know who said it...

8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?
It depends on the family or the friend. Generally I must say friends - I feel more loyalty to them on the whole. But I consider most of my family my friends as well, so that's not saying much.

9. What is your favorite childhood memory?
I spent my entire childhood in one family unit because my parents and my cousins' parents were too cheap to pay for two babysitters. This was probably the best decision they ever meant concerning me. We'll always be tight-knit, and I'll always feel one of the four. My entire childhood was amazing. I distinctly remember pretending the sand in our creek was fairy dust or that the (poisonous) berries we were mashing into (poisonous) liquid was in fact a magical potion. Which we were never, ever allowed to eat. Ooh, and there was that one time we saw an eel. Or I think so.

10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?
Probably my stubbornness. Usually my stupid little arguments with people escalate into a fiendish brawl because I never give up, even if I know I'm wrong. I really hate losing.
...I don't make much sense, either, I suppose that's a flaw, as well as the reason why I failed the Logic section in Geometry.
Closely related to my stubbornness is my shyness. I find it really hard to talk to large groups of people, or small groups of people, or people period.

11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?
It depends if I was close enough to him to be notified. But if I had, I'd totally do it. A teacher like Umbridge would really get on my nerves because of her stupid rules and her crappy teaching. I'd want to get back at her by joining the D.A.

12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.
I usually calm myself down pretty well. Reading a good book usually works, or just doing something else.
If I can't distract myself from the situation or have to solve it, I'll do it but I'll be snappish about it.

13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?
I don't really know. However, I'm leaning towards compassion. Justice is overrated, and everyone seems to have a different idea of it.

14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?
I think I'm more than a child at heart. I'm still a child right now, really. But at least I'm a child with good taste in books.

15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in?
No idea. I think I'd die if I was put into Hufflepuff (no offense to Hufflepuffs, but I really don't feel like I'd fit in with you), but the other houses might not be so bad. I'm a Gryffindor hopeful, but I don't really know if I'm brave enough.

16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
Eh, sorry, don't have one.
