1. Name: Stephanie Lauren. I was named by my grandfather because my parents couldn't decide on what to name me. Had he not stepped in, I would have been Emily Amber Rosemarie, which is a mouthfull to say the least.
2. Age: Nineteen. I'm a libra, my brithday falls right at the beginning of October.
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Either Japan, or Greece, I think. Japan because the food is incredible and the fashion, the people, and the architecture are completely amazing. Greece because of the amazing history the country has, the gorgeous ruins, and of course because I'm Greek. :P
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? You would walk in through a tall, slim mahongony door and enter something like a relaxed library. The room is long, and relatively thin, with a large, dark gray marble fire place at the far end of the room. The walls would be a rich hazelnut color, and from the high ceiling would hang amber glass domes which would emit a soft light, just enough to read by. There would be no windows. The walls would be covered by floor-to-ceiling mahogony bookshelves with all the classics, muggle and magical. There would be table all about the center of the room on the far end, surrounded by fat, squashy armchairs in a variety of rich colors. The floor would be hardwood, with patches covered by long-furred rugs, on which would be piled large, puffy sitting pillows.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? Easily, Delores Jane Umbridge. A more heathanistic, closeminded, stubborn, wart of a woman I have never had the misfortune to hear of. I loathe those who are stubborn, and refuse to hear one out.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full? It depends entirely on how it got that way. If the liquid was poured into it to the halfway mark, then it is half full. If someone has poured out, or drunk, half of the liquid, then it is half empty.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. No solo de pan vive el hombre y no de excusas vivo yo. Man cannot live on bread alone, and I cannot live on excuses alone. Basically.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? All friend worth having will become like family in time, and so I believe the one should never have to choose. However, should it come down to life or death, I would (after much laborous thought) have to choose my blood relations.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? Playing in the lilac bushes in my best friend's back garden. They were nearly trees, and we could climb in them without the worry of falling. At the end of the day our fingers would be stained purple from crushing the violet blossoms in our hands, and we'd smell like angels instead of the little gremlins we were.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? My inability to stop talking. I talk constantly, but rarely communicate much about anything. This increases tenfold when I'm nervous.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? Certainly. Aside from positively abhoring Delores Umbrigde, I think DADA would be my favourite course, and I'd be crushed to not be able to properly practice it. Of course, I'd be terrified of expulsion, but I think my desire to learn, combined with my desire to rebel, would overwhelm that fear.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. First I panic. Then I might run to a hidden place and breifly cry. Then I rationalize whatever I can, and try to solve the problem. I'm a very good problem-solver once I've panicked a bit.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? It is possible to want both? The fanciful side of me wishes that we could be compassionate to everyone, and that this would solve problems. However, the rest of my is fairly logical, and tends to lean more toward justice. I lean toward the "eye for an eye" philosophy.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? Most likely an old soul who is a child at heart.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? I honestly cannot say. I am often sneaky, and I do not always tell the truth, but I would very easily risk my life to save the life of a friend. I'm a neurotically hardworking person, and I'd venture to say that I'm quite clever. I suppose Ravenclaw, because I love to learn. But who knows? I would go into the sorting with no expectations, because I find that the less you expect, the less you're disappointed.
