1. Name:
Elia. You are most likely pronouncing it wrong. I really don't mind.
2. Age:
Nineteen
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
Scotland. Never been there, but I would love to live there. Although, I am pretty happy here in Toronto, so I would take either one.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
It is big, pale grey, and full of stuff. Mostly the things used in the filming and editing of movies, but also books upon books of how to make useless contraptions and anything I would need to make said useless contraptions. Also a zeppelin, a bed, a dumpster full of old machines and technological doo-dads, and more comics than you can shake a stick at. Oh, there are tons of books too, good or bad, it doesn't really matter, I'll read them anyways.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?
Moaning Myrtle. Just.... shut up already, stop your bloody MOANING!
6. Is the glass half empty or half full?
It depends entirely on the situation. Sometimes I will be of the firm opinion that the glass is half empty and will never be full again (oh, woe is me!) but alternately I am often thinking the glass is half full and getting even fuller by the second. Right now there is no glass, I'm too tired to go get a drink.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
"With great power comes great responsibility" - Uncle Ben.
and
"Fight every fight like you can win; An iron fisted champion, An iron willed fuck up." - Against Me!
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? Both. I don't think I need to explain this more than that.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? I can't say I have one. But, maybe, just, not worrying so much?
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? I don't value the things that I need to value to get ahead in this world. I am not at all motivated to do work unless it is fun and challenging, I don't care if I get paid for it or if I need to do it to get good marks, I just care that I am learning and enjoying the work. I also can't talk to people very well.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? For sure. Although I would have a constant fear of being found out and expelled....
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. I think the best description was given to me by an old friend. He said that I am like a sailor in a tiny boat in a huge storm, and instead of fighting through the storm and trying to get out of it I just go below decks and wait it out, maybe I'll sink or maybe I'll be OK, I just have to wait and see what happens.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? Ooh, that's a tough one. Compassionate justice? No... I think I have to say justice, but compassion only loses by a tiny bit.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? I am the most childish grumpy old man in a 19 year old body that you will ever meet. I still consider myself a kid, just one who knows things and can buy porn and alcohol. But at the same time I've got the whole "old soul" thing going on. I don't know, I am maturely immature, I think that works nicely.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? I think I would probably end up in Gryffindor, but whenever I tell the internet tests that I like the colour black and listen to punk I end up in Slytherin, and as we all know, the internet never lies. Oh! my room of requirement would have an awesome sound system in it too, and all the music I could ever want.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun! Well, I have no pictures, but enough people have said to me that I look like Harry, so go look at a picture of him and imagine he is wearing a black crocheted hat, plastic framed glasses, and a pinstripe blazer. Maybe it will end up looking something like me, maybe not.
