I do actually want to keep her, but we already have two adult cats. They've alternated between periods of extreme curiosity about her, and periods of pretending to not even notice she's there. They're really very friendly, and I suspect they would get along fine, but I've never wanted to become one of those people who has a zoo in his house.
The main reason behind perhaps not being able to keep her is simply the commitment during this period of her life. With both of us working during the day, it's going to be very hard to take care of what is, in every way, an infant. She has to be fed by syringe every two hours until she's strong enough to be weaned, and that's going to be a couple of weeks, most likely.
I still haven't had any bright ideas about how we're going to manage that.

Why wouldn't you want to keep her?

At least you don't have a rubber band on your arm. I'm preferring to assume this, anyway.
