So. Let's talk politics for a minute.

That's right, politics.

Exactly. In fact I did listen to some of McCain's speeches, just to be fair. When he started talking about "freedoms" and "Pro-Life" and how wire tapping was just peachy with him, was when I made my decision on who to vote for.

I actually identify with the classical definition of "conservative", meaning I am a fan of small government. As long as I'm not hurting anyone (that's including myself), it's nobody's business how I live my life.

*applauds* Bravo. Well said. I particularly like the Jefferson quote and "Theology has very little place in government. It belongs among the people, and in their hands - but not in the books of law that govern the work and safety of society proper." Agreed.

I have always pursued the separation of church and state. To me, attempting to combine them is possibly the worst of all bad ideas.
