1.) Does anyone own a DVD of Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone that I can borrow? I've listened to all two-plus hours of Wizard People, Dear Reader and I really want to listen to it synced with the movie like it was intended. Are other people aware of Wizard People? It's this retelling of Harry Potter that essentially follows the actual ( Read more... )

1, 4, and 5 are my favorites, but especially 4. Really great job!

Thanks, I'm glad you like them! 1 was the first one I did and it came together the most easily. It still took a ton of work but having the tech stuff seperated from the house stuff by a black area made achieving a seemless look much easier. 4 was the most constructed in reality, since I actually dragged the clump of cords around that space and shot a bunch to composite, as opposed to the other photos where the environment and the technology were from entirely different photos. 5 was a last minute (well, last night) bit of inspiration, but it feels the most unfinished to me since it had the least amount of time to mature. It's Arthur's favorite though.

Thanks!

I don't have a burned copy. I just listened to them from the website. I can't tell if anyone else will think it's as funny as I do, but if you remain intrigued, how about we do a Lunch Club viewing of Wizard People, Dear Reader some time?

awesome pictures Alex.
i agree with Jeannette that 1,4 & 5 are my favorite as well.
who would have thought the segundo tunnel had so much
photographic potential?
i guess you did.

Why thank you ma'am! I'm glad you enjoyed them. However, I must tell you that #5 is not, actually, the Segundo tunnel, although it was a good guess. It is a Davis bike tunnel--thus the resemblance--but it is a tunnel near the Camphor House. The Segundo Tunnel remains untapped of its photographic potential. Perhaps if you ever take a photo class you can be the one to capture its majesty?

you know, as i was posting that comment, i realized that there is a probability that it isn't the segundo tunnel. but i decided to look foolish anyways.

I don't think you look foolish! All Davis bike tunnels look the same anyway.

these are so cool, alex!
and i guess i'm jumping on the bandwagon because 1, 4, and 5, but especially 4, was my first reaction also.

Thanks Ellen! Number 4 especially seems to be the runaway hit. During critique most people in class cited it as their favorite one as well. Have you been doing any photography these days? If so, post!

Also, you, Leira, Ray, and I should have lunch again.
