Whenever I ask for it to connect or look for a connection it gives me an error, so I'm either not doing it right or I'm afraid I got one of them Wii's that I read about that won't connect. Maybe you can help me out.

Do you have wireless Internet in your home? You need a standard wireless network in range for your Wii to connect to. If you do, is your Wii picking it up but just not connecting, or is it not seeing your network at all?
