OK, so in one sense I just got thrown off the bus, and in another, I just swam back to shore.  No, that doesn't make sense.  You know how when you're on a road trip and you get lost and then you figure out you're going in the wrong direction, but you can't get off the highway?  And you just want to get to that next exit so you could stop driving in
