My ISP has been giving me all kinds of grief lately...mostly in the form of poor connection speed. I pay good money for high-speed DSL and all I've been getting lately would pale beside a 56k modem. I hear what you're saying. My ISP has problems too, although for them it's more growing pains. (2-way cable modems are a brand new concept for wher I live.)

I'm not surprised about the irony. Trail blazers usually at some point stop moving and fail to keep up with the very concepts they helped pioneer. At least you seem to be rejoining the fray. It is great though, isn't it? Now all you need is a cam and you've got a two-way communication system you dared not dream of "back in the day".

Could it be once upon a time the Commodore VIC 20...let alone the 64...was state of the art in home computing? eggads!

How's the LJ/IM addiction going? Take it from me, it will level off and you'll be ok. Enjoy the headiness of the newness of it. It won't last. lol.. (Not saying you'll tire of it, just that you will be able to not be so preoccupied with it as you say you are now.)

Insightful as usual. It is a bit like the proverbial kid with a new toy. I hope it does level off soon, or I ain't gonna get much work done. Meantime, love that new car smell.
