DayWatch is pretty damn skippy, though not as...atmospheric, I guess, as NightWatch.

Yeah, I agree. Sorry I've been so out of touch lately, but I've just been busy. I also have a second job a few nights a week working at a head shop which is a bit of a story in and of itself.

yeah, it definitely felt like the middle part of a trilogy. i need to watch it again, though, now that it's officially released and not just a bootleg with bad subtitles. :)

Unfortunately, the stylish hard-subtitles are gone. From what I heard, the theatrical release had the same dynamic, animated subtitles as NightWatch, but they're gone. I guess there was really no way around that, though, since hard-burned subtitles really don't work with anamorphic transfers.
But, I'm not sure where they can go with the third movie. Isn't the story kind of complete at this point?
