best volunteer work ever!

fostering kittens from the spca.  i got a call yesterday asking if i could take care of a litter for about 2 weeks.  they're 4 weeks old and teeny so they have to have lots of loving and food.  oh, and they're a little (read: a lot) messy.

we got them home yesterday evening, and decided that they only way to tell them apart is to give them "collars

oh man, kittens are like addicting. they're my favourite part about being here on the farm. right now there are about 7 bigger kittens running around the farmyard getting into hijinx and stuff, and i think there are more in the loft of the barn that must be younger. one of the bigger ones (I say "bigger" but really they're still so small... about the size of the dog's head) is so people-oriented. he even likes being petted, and kittens that size don't usually like it. very cute... i could hold him snuggled up under my chin all day.
