This time last year I had just gotten back from the doctors office and confirmed when I should be at the hospital in the morning to be induced. Then the next day my life changed forever. I was given the best gift I could have ever received.

Happy Birthday to Maggie, and congrats to you for making it through the first year without going insane!

I think that children and husbands should buy the mothers presents on their baby's birthdays to celebrate our being selfless caregivers 24 hours a day. Or maybe just give us some extra chocolate sauce on the ice cream cake.

Did you decide to start her a charm bracelet, or did you come up with something else equally creative? I couldn't think of a single thing for a boy, so we ended up getting him a sappy card that I'm going to leave sealed until he's much older. o-well.
