Author's notes and thanks (spoilers for the fic): Thanks go to rei_c, hclappy, and deathangelgw for betaing, and curses for cherryscott for spawning the idea to begin with. Also, thanks for the amazing art that vorpal_pen made for this beast. And thanks to all of y'all for actually reading it.
I'd also like to thank the awesome ladies in charge of spn_j2_bigbang! Y'all've been absolutely amazing, and deserve a hell of a lot of respect for the hassle that was wrangling over a hundred people into an understandable and organized community :)
The idea was started with a conversation with cherryscott over the image of a bestial Sam, mounting Dean from behind and biting the back of his neck. Then, it sort of grew from there and over twenty thousand words later it's complete and the longest single finished story I've ever written, so maybe Cherry does get some thanks for it, after all ;) I think the idea for the psychics all having inheritable abilities came from season one, where Sam used telekinesis to free himself and save Dean from Max Miller, so I think that means that the idea for this story, in one form or another, has been around since sometime early- to mid-season two. So, after a good year or so, it's finally come to fruition, and I can move on with my life though I still have a few thoughts that might wind up being written, dealing with the other psychics and what they do with their newly-found freedom.
