Sunset on the Beach! New episode! New season! YAY!!
There are a million and one photos out there already but clearly I needed to share mine. I was up at the barricades this year (twelve hours on the beach, woo) and had such a fun time. As I'm sure everyone knows and as we expected, Scott was not there (though Alex cracked a joke about the Whooliganz while on stage, ha) nor did we see any sign of Grace (no idea why), but it was still a great event. Non-spoiler thoughts on the episode after the photos.

So, episode thoughts. These should be non-spoilery, but if you really don't want to know anything, I'd suggest coming back in about twelve hours. :)
Michelle is in the credits (yay!) and the main shot they chose for Scott's portion of the credits is a fandom favorite. I totally cheered, haha. The show continues its dedication to ridiculous action sequences and gaping plot holes, both of which I find oddly endearing. I honestly missed their crazy brand of story-telling, and it was fun to fall right back in where we left off. The emotional scenes were well done. Chin (and DDK) broke my heart in an unexpected way. Christine Lahti's character plays very well with everyone, imo. Danny is cranky and I adore him. Kono is a serious badass (I know this isn't a surprise, but holy shit). There's a small, intriguing, plot-extending twist at the end.

I'm looking forward to watching again tomorrow night. And episode three needs to get here IMMEDIATELY OMG.
