Title: Never Walk Alone
Characters: Henry/Zhoumi (Minor mention of SHINee's Onew)
Rating: G
Summary: Henry realises that sometimes you're never alone, there will always be someone there for you.

Written around the time Henry performed for Suju in Don't Don. The SHINee boys, Zhoumi and Henry, are all still trainees at this point.

Henry closed his eyes as he felt the rain falling on his face. Standing there, he did nothing to cover himself, as the heavy rained poured down without stopping, seeming harsh and unforgiving. To him, this was nothing. After all, he had been through worse, what was the rain compared to everything he had gone through?

Tears rolled down his face, disguised by the pouring rain. Unless someone looked closely to see his red, bloodshot eyes, nobody would be able to tell at all.

He had never thought of the entertainment industry as something easy, but he never realized it was going to be THIS HARD.

He had never expected to be loved by everyone, but he never expected all the hate mail, people telling him to get off stage… and the list goes on.

He had never wanted to be famous, all he wanted was to be able to do what he loved, which was dancing and playing the violin.

He had never wanted to be seen as a member of Super Junior, all he wanted was to be known as his own self, Henry Lau.

Surely… not all these were impossible and out of his reach?

Sighing, he reached to wipe away the tears and prepare to walk back into his dormitory, wanting to pretend that he had not just been standing and crying in the rain. However, he felt someone walk beside him and place an umbrella over his head. The other person turned out to be Zhoumi, the Chinese guy who had recently moved into the dormitory with him and the other trainees. He put his arm around Henry as he proceeded to lead him to the lobby of their dormitory.

“Come on, you’re drenched, you need to get out of these clothes and dry yourself. We were all wondering where you were!  Jinki cooked an entire pot of ramyun, we were waiting for you to get back so we could eat it together.  Don’t keep the kids waiting…”

Zhoumi was either totally oblivious that Henry had been crying, or he was simply pretending not to know. He didn’t say anything while they were heading upstairs, and when they reached the dormitory, he shooed Henry off to have a warm shower and change into some dry clothes. When Henry came out, there was a bowl of hot ramyun waiting on the table for him, with Zhoumi and the other guys waiting.

Whatever it was, Henry really appreciated it. It was one thing to be out there all on your own, it was another thing to have friends beside you, not questioning you about what happened, but just offering you the company that you needed.
