And he stands on the corner,
On that cold winter day-another cold winter day.
And he waits. Just waits.

Suddenly I heard a voice on the street corner.
It was you on that day, when you murmured goodbye from far away.

And he heard it, that familiar voice, sending chills. And he remembers when that voice said, it's time that we say our farewells. But, just for this while. I'll be back, just wait for me.

He remembers as if that voice-that person, is right there, telling him those heart wrenching, yet promising words. And he remembers the promise he made. To wait for the other's return. Looking forward to seeing the other again, it warms him, despite the blistering nips at his cheeks and the howling of the wind.

And he waits, that same familiar voice causing him to look back. There he is, the other, running towards him. He can't help, but to smile, holding out his arms to welcome the other. Did I make you wait long?, The other asks, whispering into his ear. He shakes his head slightly, closing his eyes, yielding into the other's embrace; something he missed so much. But, he opens his eyes to see that the other has vanished.

Whenever I look back
The memories give me a gentle push

'My Yunnie will come back', He reassures himself. But, he can feel it-his hope is becoming dim at each flickering of the street lamp that hovers above him. The only sign-light he clings onto; he holds onto it, not wanting to let go of the belief that the other will come back. But, it's growing dark. Becoming colder. And he's becoming numb; his legs stiff from standing in the same spot.

The first snow flake falls.

Today, somewhere, the tale of a street corner.
Someone is meeting someone for the first time.

This is where they first met. Yes, he recalls that day-a day such as this one. He had forgotten his coat-clumsy him-and he stopped to figure where he could have possibly left it last. That was when he came-the other, and he took off his coat, placing it around the latter. You'll get sick if you stand out here too long without a coat.

He hums inwardly, rubbing his arms to regain that feeling of the other's coat around him.

Such a dear feeling

He counts the amount of possible days left until the other returns. "Yunnie, I don't know how much longer I can wait here"

Joongie, just wait for me, The voice reminds him, but it's distant.

Far away, far away, a sound echoes.

The street lamp's light dies off. "I'm sorry Yunnie", He turns to walk away as the frosty white has already begun to stick, leaving a trail of his footprints behind him. He doesn't dare to turn back for fear of disappointment; what he has been feeling each day passed, that he waited.

He has waited too long. The stillness of the night confirms it.

Ah, painful feelings are swaying...
...a new wind...
...I'm moving on...

And his figure is almost out of sight, and walking quite the distance, he fails to hear that familiar voice-that long awaited familiar voice, call after him. But, the howling of the wind drowns any chance of that voice ever reaching his reddened ears.

And the now arrived figure watches, as the other walks away, vanishing into the fog. He tries to call out to the retrieving person once more, but the absence of the street lamp's light; it let's him know that the other is no longer there. So he rests against the lamp's pole, "Jaejoong, I'm here"...

And he waits.

And the street corner knows about farewells.
It secretly saw the goodbye that day, didn't it?

...on to the next corner...
