When she's finished in the kitchen, Elaine washes her hands and runs them over her hair to settle it. Then she goes back out to sit on the patio to wait for the girl with the watering can. Anyone who wants to bother her in the meantime is welcome to.

Have a Steerpike, who suddenly is no longer kiddified, and still has very little clue who he is, wandering by as well.

"Good afternoon," he says to the lovely young lady sitting by.

Oh. There he is. She's had a moment to wonder, since he unexpectedly vanished from her shift. "Good afternoon, sir."

He smiles. Pleasant enough. "How are you?" He's not sure if they knew each other before or not... awkward....

"I'm fine, sir." Reservedly.

Si Wang-mu has had a very odd few minutes since Elaine left her. She strides neatly around the corner of a very tall strand of hollyhocks in a raised bed, and smiles a very small smile. "Hello," she says, because whatever else is going on, and no matter how nervous you are, a fellow servant is someone you can understand.

She stands at once, and ventures a smile back. "Hello. No problems?"

"No problems," Wang-mu says, and lets the empty watering can dangle from her hand a little.

"Good," with a little nod. "I don't know the gardens very well--"

And here's Lamorak, a bit quiet from Percy's brush with the past, but otherwise mostly at ease.

She looks up at him with a little smile, not to accost him if he doesn't want to be.

He sees her, however, and smile. "Elaine. Are you well?"

"Yes, sir," rising in deference. "How are you?"
