[He recognizes her voice, and wants to brag to her, tell her how her world is basically dead so that he can see the look of fear in her expression. But first...]
[There is something about him...maybe it's the eyes. She can't put her finger on it, but it tugs a familiar thread in her mind. She raises her eyebrows at the we.]
A lot of things, but I guess I should focus on the big stuff, right?
Mostly I'm wondering about what I do from here. The moogles were helpful but between all the 'kupos' and the confusion I guess some things didn't sink in. Do people show up here a lot? Just out of the blue?
They show up pretty often. But sometimes it...kind of seems to happen in cycles, almost. Or maybe I just don't pay that much attention. It's normal to show up out of the blue, even though it's very jarring at first.
Oh yeah! I'm apart of the Refugee Re-something Coalition. There's plenty you can still do, and that's not the only world.
In cycles, hm? I'm glad I'm not the only one just popping in unexpectedly. You must be used to this sort of thing then. Especially if you're part of something called Refugee Re-something Coalition.
[She's smiling as she says this - she probably wouldn't remember the full name either.]
So we can travel between different worlds? How?
[Does it involve ships that fly because she loves those flying machines.]
[She's quiet for a moment as she absorbs this - it's probably what the moogles were trying to tell her before but she'd been a little distracted at the time.]
Lost to darkness. So it's just...gone? Nothing left?
[She's got a sympathetic look, because really, that's what's usually first on everyone's minds, but she can't offer a lot of solid support of "they're okay" to help.]
We don't know. I'm sorry, I know that's not much help, but what seems to happen is that the world and all the people on it are lost - but people can still come here, like you did. At the very least they're not dead, but... I'd guess the best way to say it is they're in limbo. And we don't know how to get them out.
[She wants her friends, too, and she's trying to hide it but it's a little more obvious than she likes.]
There's seems to be so much I don't know about this place. From what I know, people arrive here at random from different worlds, right? And we can travel between worlds, too. There's this darkness that took my home?
[It's a little hard to understand, and really she's more worried about the people she left back home.]
All of that is correct. Yes, your friends might also be here. In many cases, several people have been saved from the same world.
If they're not here, there's still a chance of them arriving later. Time works differently; or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that this place pulls us here without regard to time.

Traverse Town?

What a coincidence, so are we.

So by 'we', you mean...?

You're in Traverse Town? [ he goes quiet after that, not sure if he should be the bringer of bad news or not ]

I am. Is that...not good?

Your...world, it's been lost to darkness.

[For once, a new arrival seems pretty calm about all this, which is nice. But of course Rinoa's still going to offer to help anyway.]
Aerith? I'm Rinoa - I'm here in Traverse Town, too. If you've got any questions, I can try and answer them, so just ask!

[But she's going to give it a whirl anyway - just needs to figure out what's more important first.]
If my world's been lost to darkness...what would have happened to everyone there? My friends were there and I don't know what happened to them.

I guess limbo is better than nothing. At least I might be able to see them again someday. Having that helps a little.
[She's silent for a moment before smiling at Rinoa, pushing aside her sadness for now.]
How long have you been here?

[Ami is typically eager to help out the new arrivals; though her posting in Agrabah means she isn't exactly on-the-scene easily.]

[There is a bit of sadness in her voice, but she shakes it off quickly - now isn't the time for it.]
Is there anything you can think of that I should know right away? I'm sure a lot of what I'll learn about this place will come with time.
