I keep bumping into people here and they know my name and they remember me from highschool or wherever. And i can never remember any of their names, and sometimes i barely even remember where i know them from. It's pretty bad. kind of embarassing too. It feels like i've been away for years or something. they all say the same thing 'you look ( Read more... )

Get 14 gauge earings, a few of them, and add them bi-weekly. Once you have 3 of them in there, get an 8 gauge tapered earing and it will fit. I think it's 3, maybe 4.

i'm such a tool. you'd think i would RESEARCH this kind of thing before i shove something through my earlobe, or maybe even before i bought the silly things. i didn't even know it was called gauging. but NOW that i've gone and done some simple online research (rather than asking people in my LJ, lol) i've found out that the earrings (which i shoved through my ears yesterday) are probably 14ga, maybe even 12ga. they feel very stuck in there and i don't think i could take them out if i tried at this point...i'm hoping the hole will sort of just expand around them?

what size piercings do you have? (or do you?).

It will just stretch around the earing. It's going to be painfull for a few days, but after a while won't hurt at all. I'd leave those ones in or about a week at least before putting another one through. I you get longer ones then the ear has room to swell, which inevitably happens because it is getting iritated.

I have one 0ga and one 2ga, and a sat of 14s.

ooh. that's a real gap...when you're not wearing the 0ga or the 2ga's, do the 14ga set still fit?
