I have spent spare time in the last couple days reading all of the posts I made from 2006 onto this thing. It's crazy that a year has already gone by. This time last year I had no idea how much in love with Charlie I was, or that I'd be in Jamaica in only t minus 9 days, or that I'd be at UAB, or that I'd have my darling little girl Haji with me

Relating back to your post though, esp. in relation to August Rush... perhaps this is why I've unintentionally embarked on a life-long journey to aquire the skills to play nearly every instrument i've been around (trumpet, guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, keyboards, and my newest endeavor, drums). If only I could play one of them well! Ha. But really, listening to and discovering new music is what does it for me (in addition to Umphreys, of course). And writing. I really hope that once I learn the drums i'll finally have enough bare-bones rhythmic sense to really begin recording everything that goes on in my head.. that will be a good, good day.
