I'm a little upset, though, because I have to work all day and I'm gonna miss the parade and such. Well, I guess I'm a lot upset. But

This is all true - but I wouldn't say that I was trying to get my foot in or used it as an attempt to get "in" with the Public Theater. It was more finding something to do - theatre related - and for some reason I thought I might like it. I just wasn't thinking clearly!
