Anybody who's talked to me for the past couple of weeks is not going to be surprised at all that I'm doing a review for this show.

I will keep the review spoiler free, and write out my spoilerly thoughts in white text at the end of the review.

Just going to say that I think you, of all people in the fandom, really appreciate the series for what it is. At least, I got the exact same feeling from the series you did, and I think your review is pretty much spot-on!

It's unfortunate that I've seen many people drop the show about halfway through or some shit because its not "action" oriented enough, or characters trying to get their shit together is boring, or the show needs to be more dark. I think they missed the point of what the show is about, optimistic and character driven. I don't want it to change, I'm happy the way things are.
