International aid

China had a massive earthquake killing many people. I wondered as I listened to that news if the U.S. had a massive natural disaster:

Would another country come to our aid? Perhaps England and the U.N. might try and rally up something to prove that the U.S. is not the world police, but I seriously doubt aid would be swift, if at all.

It's been awhile since I've read the book ... actually, I can't even remember ever reading it (bad English major!!). :) But my magic 8 ball tells me, "My sources say yes." We'll see what the next president has in store for us.
