Orion: one good reason on the cars, and that is one of only a handful of points that I agree with him on-- true hydrogen vehicles operate on the same internal combustion theory as petroleum vehicles. BMW already has one that stands to put out 380 horsepower. That means that, unlike with punanny little 'lectric cars, we'll still be able to drive fast and be reckless americans. Electric cars take away a freedom that I'm just not ready to give up.
Hybrid cars, on the other hand, are just a way for the oil to remain as something we're dependent on, since they don't run without it, and the gasoline engine is what actually charges the electric power cells.
the other stuff? well, like I said in my post: we'll see if his "proposals" actually get anywhere. For the most part, that was his "State of the Union if you re-elect me" address.
