Bad translation in ye old days of dubs? The original OVA and movie are called "Oh My Goddess" (I guess they were basing it on 'oh my god'?), but since the Japanese name is Ah Megami-sama, when the new TV series started coming over and they're actually trying to be more true with their translations, they called it "Ah My Goddess". Or maybe it changed US companies or something.

That's my guess.

Weird. I asked because Netflix reccommended the Oh version to me, I'd already rented and rated the Ah version. Both Belldandys look similar, except Oh is in a red dress on the cover. I wonder if they're different?

ItThe OVA is only like 5 episodes, whereas the new TV series is ...many more. The Oh version came out ages ago but the TV series is still in progress, I believe. It's like they made one version on a low budget, and then the series got popular so they redid it and are actually telling the whole story this time. The art is slightly different, but not too bad.

japanese vs english? Original was called Ah Megami Sama so I'm assuming this happened when several companies did various parts of translation. One decided the name was fully translated as Oh My Goddess and the other decided on Ah My Goddess.
