Dear NFE 2016 (Narnia Fic Exchange)
Dear NFE author (and hopefully some madness authors too),
Let's write some NFE!
First of all, thank you a million times for taking on my prompt! I am easily delighted, so please don't hesitate to write exactly what you feel inspired to write. Maybe it fits none of the criteria below but you feel this story down to your bones based on what my characters prompted. WRITE IT. I will love it.
Second of all, I am terrible at writing these kinds of letters, so take what is helpful and feel free to ignore the rest.
Thirdly, I am a huge romantic at heart and enjoy all sorts of delicately written romance and smut. That said, if this is not your forte at all, feel free to leave it in the background of any of my prompts, hint at it, or (gulp) ignore it altogether and write a platonic relationship between the characters. What I really enjoy is passion and tension between two distinctly characteristic people, so if that happens to be romantic or not, I will most likely be very satisfied. But write me smut and I will love you forever.
Fourthly, I tend to enjoy fics that show glimpses of an evolving arc, situational/dry humor, taut banter, character studies and other character-driven narratives, invented histories, personal headcanon, and otherwise fleshing out the bones of the books with your own touches. A tight short fic can be just as satisfying as a long drawn-out one. As long as I really believe the characters and setting are the ones I'm so invested in (both book and movie), I can buy into most any sort of story.
Fifthly (now I'm just making up words), don't stress or take any of this too seriously! We all love this canon or else we wouldn't be writing in this exchange. Simply receiving something written specifically for *me* is a gift in itself. Honestly it's a lot like a holiday, where the gift is all about the surprise and the anticipation, not about whether it's the 'perfect' one. I trust you and your narrative conviction. Make it a reality. Breathe more Narnian fiction into existence. I promise you, it's worth the struggle.

Notes about preferences, since I've requested a whole lot of smut:
In general, there is not much I *don't* like. F/m, m/m, and a bit of f/f (as requested in my prompt!) is all well and good. Explicit/Mature/R ratings are welcome (even encouraged!) but not necessary Underage is okay at 15 and up Slash is very okay Incest is okay if you do it well! (You know who you are.) Fluff, marriage, and pregnancy is okay Kinks are very okay but check this NSFW kink list if you are on the fence about a specific kink Noncon is not okay. Dubcon is borderline, but consent is very much preferred. Misogyny, homophobia, and other intolerant agendas are not okay. No matter how you interpret the Narnia series, please check these at the door for this fic. If you have a specific question not covered in this list, will be able to pass it on to me!
