Apparently, LJ is at it again.

If you use the navigation bar on your LJ, you may have noticed there is a feature that says "+share" on the top right corner. This allows anyone to share posts you have made - INCLUDING FRIENDS-LOCKED POSTS - from your LJ onto theirs!

Ugh, I hate that they do this stuff. Hopefully they fix it soon. I personally have the nav bar hidden so I wouldn't have ever seen it. I really love LJ, but I miss the way it used to be before they were trying to blend in with other social networking sites. Blah.

Mine is hidden as well, but if I visit a journal or community that has it, I can see it. And that doesn't stop other people who have it installed on everything they see from sharing whatever you post. Meh.

This is such a stupid move on their part.

spud66cat just mentioned that they are working on removing the share option. I can't understand why they even thought it was a good idea.

That's not showing up on my navigation bar, but I wouldn't like it if it did!

Seriously, LJ needs to cut all this BS out.

It may not show up on your LJ - I have it turned off on mine. But if you go to a friend who might have it on theirs, you can probably copy all of their posts, and if they use it when they are browsing their flist, they could do the same to yours.

Indeed! If I wanted to share everything I posted on LJ, I would post it on FB!
