Rachel Mourns the wicked, Kelly Cries they won't return, Sarah lays a lily on her grave
Ok so this was for a wicked forum so i still havent written my Peg 2 report :( but Rohna and Sarah covered that anyway lol :)
Ok so my report/ramble will probably be really long and very confusified because I can’t remember the order in which things happened.
Ok so I went to see wicked 7 times between 30th Jan - 9th Feb
On the first day which was Tuesday I went with Stacie we got random cheap seats and we saw Annalene as Glinda and Kerry as Elphie. The show was amazing I liked Annalene…… but I didn’t love her overall performance. I did love her popular though I thought it was amazing, she was very bouncy and threw herself around lots which was fun to watch and made me laugh out loud lots. I also giggled at her ‘toss, toss, toss, toss, toss, toss’ it was fun to see Kerry and Adam have to repeat it too. But she didn’t make me laugh like Helen does throughout the show, she wasn’t as funny.
The stage door that night was very fun, me and Stacie where very fan girly and hyper and bouncy lol. I remember speaking to Annalene but I can’t for the life of me think about what, maybe it was Stacie lol, we got pictures with everyone and when Kerry came out I remember us both being very hyper lol, but I kept expecting to see The Dallimore walk out, but of course that never happened.
After the stage door experience we and Stacie where very hyper and fan girly like, we started to walk down the street then realised that Kerry Ellis was in front of us…….. So we didn’t look like we where following her we walked right into the road without looking and right in front of a Taxi which caused commotion and Kerry just smirked at us. So we just skipped off (literally) to the tube station.
On Wednesday Me, Stacie, Debbie, Chess, Josie and Lindsey went to see the matinee which was Helens first show back after her holiday squeeeeeeeeee! Me and Stacie got up at ridiculous o’clock and queued for day tickets we got really good seats.
Before the show we loitered around the theatre and chatted to a few people as they went in. We spoke to Oliver and the when CJ arrived we had to restrain Debbie so she wouldn’t burst with excitement lol. CJ was extremely sweet and her and Debbie where on a huge hugging rampage lol, they must have hugged a billion times and they where both very bouncy and squeeish lol. CJ made the Myspace official and stole Debbie’s ‘No one mourns the wicked’ top lol. I missed Helen going in because she walked past while we where talking to CJ.
We saw Miriam going in and out the theatre lots but we where to shy to speak lol, after the 3rd time she walked in then slammed the stage door open and shouted “Do you not know who I am?” which we all giggled after getting over the shock lol, Miriam is very funny.
We where very hyper through the show and cheered lots and stood up for the ensemble for a standing ovation which seemed to upset the people behind us but the ensemble have just as much right for recognition and praise as anyone else, they are on stage throughout the show doing an amazing performance. We also got a CJ wave during the curtain call yay!!!
After the show we waited near the stage door again and spoke to Oliver again who said CJ was getting a massage and would be down soon. CJ had worn the top she stole from Debbie for warm up as she said she would so they all knew about it.
I went home on wed night and went back to London on Thurs I went out in London on Thurs night and saw a few of the ensemble out in Soho, which I had a drunken conversation with. I spent most of the night talking to random people about wicked. One of which was swing and was really sweet I was talking to her for agggggges about random things and she was telling me about what agent she had and who she worked for before, I don’t remember any of it, but she wrote the names in a message that I sent to Debbie at the time lol.
From Fri - Sun I was at a Stargate con at Heathrow which again turned into a wicked adventure has one of the actresses was a wicked fan. We had a very drunken chat about wicked on Sat night and I told her she should play the next Glinda…… during the photo session the next day she was chatting to me for ages about wicked, we had the same top lol. Usually I get really nervous talking to famous people but Kate was such a wicked fan girly we where both just wicked fan girls, I completely forgot why I was there at all, and never even mentioned Stargate to her once………….. Ooops. But I don’t think she would have minded……….. I hope not anyway. I got my picture back that I had took with her and she had singed it Glinda Hewlett lol J that made my day! She’s seen wicked 48 times! And even got a job as an usher at the theatre so she could see it more!!!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeee lol, I want to do the same. . She went to see The Cheno in 'The apple tree' in NY she said Kristin was amazing but the play itself wasn't that good. She’s a proper wicked fan girly lol. Ok lol so back on track…..
I went to see wicked the rest of the week and got day tickets (front row) for each one. All the days mixed up in my head so I’m just going to write my highlights of stage door lol
- The wonderful Dallimore of Oz………… Helen signed lots of my things lol, I got 3 signed pictures, my program and 2 DVD covers over the week and 2 pictures with her on the last day I finally got the nerve to speak to her properly lol, I spoke about 50billion words a minute and just basically told her she was amazing and I love her films and babble and babbled with lots of superlatives thrown in lol. Sje was really sweet and smiley and lovely and amazing…….. I Love The Dallimore J
- Oliver, I spoke to Oliver everyday lol and I gave him a pen which he kept forgetting, but then he admitted he had it in his bag but he didn’t like walking out with a pen lol, I think he thought that made him bug headed but we told him he was amazing and deserved a pen! On the Thurs ( I think) I was shivering so he rubbed my arms when we had our pic I love Oliver. He’s so sweet. I think he thought we where his fan girlies lol
- Kerry was lovely I didn’t really speak to her like we did when me and Stacie went the week before. I got a few pictures with her and commented on her banana which we now know she has because she gets car sickness. Bless Kerry…. She was good all week but amazing on Wednesday she really belted everything out she was wow! My friend gave her a banana that she loved lol, she was very chuffed with it and laughed. My Kerry letter I started way back when had a few more word added to it lol.
CJ - I spoke to CJ on Tue and told her that Debbie was coming on Sat, she knew what I was talking about and awed. I spoke to her on Wed too and told her she was amazing as always and I will hopefully try to see her in April as Elphie if she gets on, she said she wouldn’t sure if she will, I also asked about Nessarose and she said she’ll probably play her for 1 show eventually….
Katie - Katie was always really sweet and stopped for pictures and spoke she was lovely as always. *remembers random Katie ramblings from stage dooring with Stacie lol*
James - James cracks me up I love the scene with Fiyero in dancing through life it’s always different. On Thurs some lads had been taking pictures from the front row and then when James came out they asked for auto’s and James said “Where you taking pictures from the front row?” they said yes and James said “Well I’m not signing that then” Then he used some un PG forum words that made us laugh then he walked past us and said “Hi Girls” and smiled. We told him he was brilliant as always.
Martin - Martin was fab as always and always willing to chat and have pictures he was very sweet and just Martin!!!
Miriam - I spoke to Miriam on Wed and told her she was amazing and we chatted abit about the show and she asked how many times I’d seen it etc and I got a pic she was sweet.
Nigel - On the last night I saw Nigel at the stage door finally, for the first time lol, he signed my program and I got a picture, he was very sweet J
My favourite bloopers of the week:
-Helen hit herself on her head with the wand during the cat fight scene. I was funny but I also felt bad coz she must have hurt herself (Monday)
- During popular when Helen throws the want of stage it hit the wall and came back on stage. (Wednesday)
- Kerry didn’t catch the hat, she hit it with her hand and then hand to bend down and stumbled a bit when she went to get it. She just smiled a bit and carried on (Thursday)
- Kerry swore during something bad, she didn't her mic on tho so if you wasn't close you wouldn't have heard she realised what she said looked for a second then carried on, but it made me laugh so much and i was trying so hard not too and i was shaking because i was trying not to laugh out loud. (Thursday)
I was also there on Thursday so I got to see everyone getting there award which was really sweet, Helen was beaming when she got Idina’s award for her. And Kerry and Helen where sweet and playful when they collected the best new musical award.
