Twitter?

I'm wondering if there's anything good about Twitter that i'm missing. Should i join, should i stay away? Sometimes it feels like nothing but gossip, sometimes it's like live newsfeed.

I refrain Facebook for similar concerns. And I don't regret not having a facebook page. But twitter? Can't say for sure.

Twitter can very much be like a live news feed. There are some Harry Potter twitters though that have contests to win stuff, and there's some stuff that I subscribe to to keep updated with - like cnn, Anderson Cooper, Glee actors, etc. It's entertainment overload, but in ways it's probably pulled me away from LJ (a little).

If it's too many posts in a short time, i don't think i'll be able to keep track of them. I stopped checking my Goodreads updateds weeks ago, just for that reason.
