I've never been good at bragging about myself, my managers spent all my working life telling me I need to sell myself and what I was good at. However, there are a few things I am proud of achieving.
I've always considered myself to be a kind and generous person. I like to be there for my friends, throughout the good times and bad times and I'll go out of my way to do something special for one of them. For the last twenty years of my working life I worked as a Team Leader and loved to encourage and support my team members to achieve their full potential. I had a mix of young people starting out their careers and older people who had been discouraged by previous managers and it was always such a pleasure to see them gain the confidence to do something new and undertake roles that they wouldn't have had the confidence to do previously.
I have always been good at cross stitch and it was something I really loved before the repetitive strain in my fingers meant that I couldn't feel the needle well enough to carry on sewing. I love these four pieces though.

I also made fully jointed mohair bears for a few years (many of which travelled around the world to new homes). This is Gabriel, who sits at the top of my Christmas Tree each year.
I consider myself a pretty average writer, but am proud that I've not only written a few stories but that I have actually been brave enough to post them. One of the favourite stories I wrote was a Stargate Atlantis Reverse Bang story entitled
Warning - Diversion Ahead I'm also pretty proud of the fact that until yesterday I hadn't actually hosted pictures externally recently (at least for over six years) and had no idea how to code them to appear here. Not only have I managed to achieve that (and I believe I've correctly added the right code for screenreaders) but I even created some icons for a couple of wish lists and posted them both on journals and on A03
