You would think he'd understand that, but it's painfully obvious that he has no clue. He tried to walk up to Melissa on Monday and she stared him down. Normally that would be a hint, but he tried to talk to her again yesterday.

Just more proof that, at this point, no one wants to be associated with him.

I honestly couldn't believe that whole section.

I'm sure the judge must be dying to hit someone with the gavel.

I actually feel sorry for Steve (in that OMG he should have gone to a speshul school way). Not enough to want him to win, clearly, but because his Stupid quotient is now being made public to everyone in fandom, as well as the legal community and probably the librarians association. He'll be unhireable after it's all done, and although he might deserve it (and yes, well...), it's still gotta be embarrassing.

Then again, JKR wins with her plithy and sarcastic comments. Hands down. Love that lady.

I feel sorry for his family, not for him, not really. He's brought this upon himself. His kids, however, shouldn't have to deal with this, and that's what makes me sad about this whole thing.

But yes ...he'll be unhireable. I mean, doesn't he realize that?

JKR is made of awesome. Agreed.

I didn't know he had kids. That's new to me. I wonder what they think of this whole thing? But yeah, I guess I see your point about feeling sorrier for his family than for him. He brought it on himself - they didn't. Hm.

And yes, JKR for the win. Isn't it obvious at this point that she's going to?. Win, I mean?

Steve doesn't care if he's "hireable" because he's left his wife and family, moved to England to become a "writer" (translate: to be with the woman he left his wife for), and has plans to publish two more (perfectly legitimate) HP books--one of fandom and one on places in HP.

Ugh. I'd say "who prepared him?" but we've all had witnesses who we've spent HOURS preparing and as soon as they hit the stand BAM! it's like they've never met us.

Yeah, but I think it's a general problem from the defendant's side. No one has seem truly prepared, and Dale Cendali was made of AWESOME when she cross-examined. You could clearly see the difference. Apologizing for using the name Lord Voldemort. *fangirls that woman*
