Not at all if you don't mind I will add you back :). Do you go to the message board f2b? I used to go alot but ran out of time really to go over there...I should.
Yeah, I fugured you must have been from there, but I don't know if I ever posted there at the same time you did--unless you used another name. There hasn't been anything much but spam there in the last year or so...it is desolate. :P
Everyone was making the transition to barbilith & f2b was down alot when I called it quits....of course there were alot of troll sorts of things going on at the time too. It has been several years since really I went to there, fridgemagnet gave me the lj code about 5 years or so ago :O wow I have been blogging for a very long time! If you have any questions, being new here and all..ask away. Re-occuring discussions about Katrina pop up from time to time (we were located in New Orleans and flooded out by Katrina, we relocated to Natchitoches this past year), the T.Q. is my daughter (who will be 19 at the end of the month), and Shaba is our new Maltese puppy :). I garden, oil paint, lately paint boxes, crochet, make incense & candles and pretty much try to enjoy life..welcome athene!
How cool! :) Thanks for sharing the link to the haiku contest. I'm going to enter at least once. I have a handful of haiku that I wrote in the past, and am probably going to try my hand at some again, now that the contest inspired me. I really like your Summer Rain, BTW. The imagery is vivid, and I can almost feel the mugginess. I also like that the end words in the first 2 lines happen to rhyme! ;D
Here are two of my faves from my own haiku collection. Whether you like them or dislike them, I'd enjoy knowing your opinions either way. *blush* Thanks!
Flickering bright flame Of the sweet-smelling candle Illumines the room.
Red, orange, yellow, Green and blue and violet - A rainbow’s prism.
You are quite welcome :), I was hoping that other flisters would enjoy Haiku as much as I! Love your haiku's, thank you very much for sharing them! The first makes me think of walking into a beautifully candlelit room that was warm and smelled beautiful! Good luck in the contest, I might enter too!! It is so exciting !!
